OUTCRY312'S PROFILE

I'm 22 years old, just graduated college for Game Design. I focus on narrative design in my games, and hope to begin making games within my own universe!

I prefer RPG's out of all the genres, but love exploration and puzzle games.

Fundamental RPGology

I have a question. Now I plan on having both AI and Local Player VS. Player, but say I don't have time to do AI. Basically Player VS. Player would allow the player to control both teams. Would this be acceptable? Almost like playing chess against yourself, basically seeing which side would win if you played your best with both teams. Or you can have a second person play the other team anyway. That way I can still show off the system, just not have an AI. Would this be just as acceptable?

I'm going to try for an AI, but just in case it holds me back too far.

Summer Review Jam! (week 9 space'd)

you guys are way too nice. I totally would have snagged every prize if I won.
Ah hah, but you wouldn't because you didn't! Because you already have all the games. So you could keep them all if you could, but you didn't! Got you! Nothing gets past me!

Summer Review Jam! (week 9 space'd)

Oh, I can only wonder what the next jam is :P. I've missed the apricot, but I think I know a game I can review this weekend. Will it be space? Saskatoon? I get the Space Jam joke, but not the Saskatoon joke. So, hopefully space will be one...

Aegix, I wouldn't post so much so frequently. While it's good to give progress updates, careful not to give them so often, especially since this isn't your blog. It's also multiple posts in a row, with little time between them. Just a heads-up before you get in trouble ;).

I've been recently getting intense with my system as well though. Finally getting the overall set-up ready. I've got so much to work on outside of this contest, though. But after last night, it's safe to think I can definitely put an entry in!

I do have a few options for plants and had it in my mind for some reason to keep this plant for Amalasuintha, this plant for decoration in Lusi, etc... that's silly hah, I'll actually add some variety. The garden boxes... I think there's some in the tileset, I'll try them out.

And the desk, in order to make it long, I had to use a tile A version. There is a smaller version that can fit on top of rugs in Tile D but that won't do. So no it can't fit on the carpet :P.

My skills with graphics are limited to where all I can do is edit them a bit. For example, I'm working on the Savel Desert map and I think I'm going to have a separate tileset for it, putting in different tents then what the tileset gives. Then I plan on changing the stone base of lampposts to a different color of stone. I can do recolors, and flip the objects horizontally. I can't create anything from scratch though.

I hope to have an artist who would enhance all things graphics in the future. For now, I have to do the best I can with this *shrug*, it works pretty well.

I need an opinion. Too many plants? I mean I wanted each door to have two plants outside of it. They love their decorations :P

Mr. Pharell is quite stressed by the amount of patients that just walked in...

Unraveled: Tale of the Shipbreaker's Daughter

Oh, yeah, of course, I don't know why I said non-RPG XD. Either way, it helps to have... help. I had a mapper and testers so I guess it was even :P.

Either way, nice work on this one ;)

Unraveled: Tale of the Shipbreaker's Daughter

I guess this game shows it really helps to have a team to work on something. I like the game, it's really nice. I see it as easily beating my game in the non-RPG genre, not to put myself down or anything :P

Statisticians of the Galaxy

I've been waiting to see Guardians of the Galaxy, I'm dieing. We just can't afford it right now. And now every time I go to this site there's a reminder... :') but it's ok, I love you guys.

The stats always interested me. Kylaila and Nhubi are definitely getting a boost from the review jam, hah. My name won't ever be up there of course :P

I finished the intro of my current project. For now anyway. I think getting this battle system working is my next step! So yeah, I'm actually working on it now :P. But either way, I did do some conceptualizing.

I'm going to use the health bar as a measure of who has control over the battlefield. Max party members in this will be three characters, but I think I'll play around with that through variation in battles. Make you choose two from the three available or something. It'll be a good test of the system to see how different classes handle the battle and how well they work together.
