SBESTER'S PROFILE

I've been an active member for quite a few years now. I started my RMN career by releasing the Eden Legacy Trilogy of games (each entry took 4 months of nonstop work) within one year, and I've gradually shifted to creating other games as well. I now have 3 flagship series: Eden Legacy, Fragile Hearts, and Mafiosi (being remade for commercial release as Crime Opera). I'm pretty much solely focused on the Crime Opera series of visual novels right now, as my band and job currently take up most of my free time.

Currently working on
-Crime Opera Trilogy (Mafiosi 1, 2, & 3 edited, with all original resources)
-It's a secret...
Crime Opera II: The Floo...
The kids have grown up, and they're becoming quite dangerous.

One Night Review

Have you ever played the early Resident Evil games? Pretty much all of your gripes can be attributed to those. The pausing in the text descriptions, the simple checkpoints.... all these things were done for emulation purposes, and were executed perfectly. I think by failing to understand the author's intent you gave an unfair score.

I think there is a certain audience who will appreciate this game. I'm not really part of it, but I'm sure it exists.

Iron Gaia

I'll see what I can muster up for a review when I'm done. I just don't want to draw too much attention to things that I'm sure your games have improved upon since, it would just seem more like I was being critical than helpful. I'll find some way to work around it.

Iron Gaia

I finally started playing this game. While I could give some immediate feedback, I realize this game is very old and it's useless to nitpick about little qualms 4 years later or w/e when I'm sure they've already been realized. So i'll just say this, I'm liking it so far.

What happened to part 3 though? Is it lost to the ether forever? Seems like a shame that we'll never get full closure, or will we?

I hadn't realized he left these forums.

Character development. (stats-wise, not personality)

I had this in mind when I made the Eden Legacy series. It's something I hope to improve with the sequels, as character customization is something I've grown accustomed to as well.

AP spending is the only thing I really like about MMORPGs that I wish more 1 player RPGs used. The problem I see with it, however, is for new RPG players who aren't sure how to properly craft their characters or aren't sure which attributes they prefer. It's kind of a system that caters only to experienced RPG gamers.

Sorry, but I love the idea of making fangames.

I love how we've managed to find yet another way to discourage people from feeling welcome in the community by saying "go ahead and make this but no one here will play it 'cause we're too smart for that".

Eternal Edenwhile not a bad game is certainly not a great game either. It's the most decidedly average game ever. It's pretty much just a basic cut and paste J-RPG game (like what I make).
I'm ignoring this because Legionwood will be the best game ever.
I am hoping you are sarcastic.

Gaia's games are quite polished, I really do have high hopes for it. It was unfortunate that I'm not a survival horror fan, as One Night was just perfect in that department, so I've been anticipating a final release for Legionwood for a while. Plus his beta tester is pretty top notch.
