SBESTER'S PROFILE

I've been an active member for quite a few years now. I started my RMN career by releasing the Eden Legacy Trilogy of games (each entry took 4 months of nonstop work) within one year, and I've gradually shifted to creating other games as well. I now have 3 flagship series: Eden Legacy, Fragile Hearts, and Mafiosi (being remade for commercial release as Crime Opera). I'm pretty much solely focused on the Crime Opera series of visual novels right now, as my band and job currently take up most of my free time.

Currently working on
-Crime Opera Trilogy (Mafiosi 1, 2, & 3 edited, with all original resources)
-It's a secret...
Crime Opera II: The Floo...
The kids have grown up, and they're becoming quite dangerous.

Polymorphous Perversity (18+ NWS)

Which is probably what most people do in common speak (shorten it in a way that makes sense to them). Tranny is a term you hear often enough, and the conversion makes a lot more sense than Black = Nigger or Gay = Faggot, so to say it's on par with being as offensive... I choose to believe that most people aren't using it in such a way.

RMN v4.3 approaches! Command?

If this flagship title thing is still in the cards, is there any way we could have multiple ones? I have two flagship series (not titles), and am trying to start on a third.

Trihan brought up a really good point, it's too bad his comment got lost at the butt end of the last page and no one saw it.

@Link_2112- Calunio isn't creepy. As I understand it, it's all just a big psychological study for him. He's never let the success of his games go to his head either, as he's been quite loyal to this community.

Your comment shows that you don't understand why this is a problem,

No, I get it. I just don't care. People will always be afraid of/hate/do bad things to those who are different than they are, and I believe one of the best ways to move society into a mode of acceptance is for us to be able to make fun of ourselves and our differences, rather than raising a big stink about it every time we feel offended and causing a bigger rift between the opposing sides with an overly defensive attitude. Kind of like what you've been experiencing in this thread.

Some people just can't take a joke, and that is where the controversy is born.

The Game Request Topic

author=calunio
I'm really in the mood for playing a somewhat traditional RPG, with a focus on character development, character customization, maybe many possible characters (in a party of 4), with either a great story or not much focus on the story. I actually feel like grinding in battles so I can level up characters and customize them, but most traditional RPGs (here) either have too much walking and talking, and/or they have a linear character progression that is just not very appealing.

Not sure if you've played the Eden Legacy games, they're really oldschool with not much focus on story but you can customize your character (plural in the sequels) by choosing your skills every time you level up. You can choose the game's difficulty by opting to not choose heal type skills along the way, for instance, and there is an energy system that forces you to replenish your energy before being able to use heavier attacks (basically, this means mp refills every other turn, forcing you to choose carefully your attacks each and every turn). It's a numbers thing, and it becomes more interesting as you gain more skills.

It's intentionally primitive and the dialogue is very limited, which not many people have liked but it sounds like it may be what you are looking for atm. The trilogy edition version (1.3) is available for the first game, but I heard from someone they couldn't get it to work. If that's really the case, the original versions are available on their respective game pages and they aren't too much different.

What do we remember?

Sky Tower Games anyone?
Also, Gaming Ground Zero had some amazing resources like 10 years ago

Mafia: Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (Sign-Ups)

I'm actually reading the VN right now (Christ is it ever LONG). I'm not so into forum RPGs though :P

In regards to the whole tranny debate earlier, I just don't see how certain groups and stereotypes should be off limits when it comes to comedic or satirical works. Even my LIGHT COMEDY game pokes fun at fatties, trannies, prostitutes, and pervs (actually, this is all pretty typical in most comedic anime series). We need "chill pills" (possibly to be put in our achievement folders) on RMN to be rewarded to those who clearly need to take one.

Facesforce Western Let's Play Chanel (Will take Requests)

This thread is severely underrated, you do a pretty damned good job on these! I'll be making a request in the future for sure!

Story line Maker Event

Woah, 3 achievements in one night! Thanks all! And to think it took me all of like 10 minutes to write :)
