Its done... go play it.

Congrats, this game looks pretty bizarre in a good way. I'll give it a play, later today.

Wouldnt be a typical quirky indie RPG if it didn't look bizarre, haha. Though to be fair, compared with the likes of Hylics its pretty tame.

Awesome news! Congrats on finishing this seven year journey!

Thanks for the 5 stars on Itch. You actually beat it already? Or just knew it was goty? B)

HYPE

will play happily when I have the time

This is the endless struggle. I have had Cope Island sitting on my desktop for months. :(

(congrats!)

Thank you, and now I feel like not including a reference to that scene was now a missed oppertunity...

Shooty and the Catfish: Fully Reloaded will no longer be a commercial release.

Such a fascinating choice after all the work you've put into this. Why not just release it cheap & if issues arise that aren't game breaking I'm sure people would understand a wait to fix them. Hell Bethesda does it annually & at a much higher price haha. Game looks incredible though, congrats on it all!

I'm not sure, it just doesn't feel like me I suppose. I'd rather have people coming to my patreon and paying for the source files than having them buy the final product for some reason. I guess I just find that side of things more interesting. With the absolute oversaturation in the indie market at the moment, including in indie RPGs I feel like having it be free is a point of difference that might help it get more attention as well I suppose. Thank you for the kind words. :)

Dev Log #6: May Report

Cant believe you made the original Soma Spirits in 10 months. This is all coming along swimmingly!

Dev Log #5: March Report

I like your chart layouts, I'm going to steal them for future projects. B)

Also glad to hear things are coming along smoothly!

Dev Log #4: Chapter 1 Complete! The first big milestone!

Well... good!

That sounds like a good patreon tier to have. Congrats on progress! I'm still looking forward to this. I'm sure this will end up being not only pretty but also a fun game with interesting episodic structure.

Heres hoping the tier attracts people, some people have called me crazy for doing it ha ha.

As for the game, I honestly feel like itll be a weird mess but sometimes thats not a bad thing.

Episode 5 - January 2018 vs January 2020

Whoa, you're posting these huge weekly updates all of the sudden every two days! Exciting stuff. I think that graphics mostly changed to the better but I also find some of the old mapping and work with shames more inspired. But that might be because square might be better suited for your cute style than wide-screen.
But I really like the new tiles otherwise.

These updates have all been from my Patreon, I have been forgetting to post them all here! D:

The square screen has its ups and down sides, my main issue with it is that it created a lot of UI issues, you can only break MV so much to try to fix them sadly.

Awesome read! Look forward to playing this my friend.

Well thank you very much kind sir ~ <3
