AVEE'S PROFILE

I started to design games at age 5, drawing maps and sprites with felt pens and paper. Then I began writing stories and game scenarios. I've been working with Rpg Maker 2000 and 2003 mostly, as soon as they came out.
I favor RPGs, Action RPGs and Fighting games. My favorite styles are Fantasy, Horror and anything dark or gothic. I also appreciate cute and funny content.

I make a lot of pixel art and some digital art (concept, promo, fanart, etc.)
I also compose 8-bit music.

Don't be shy and send me a message if you want to commission my work ;)

"Leg hair is more fun when it's wet"

Has anyone tried laser removal or that No-No thing?
I always wondered if those really work and if there are side effects because zapping your skin definitely sounds like a bad idea to me...

"Leg hair is more fun when it's wet"

Male or female?

I need a Battler for my project.

Got it. I'll send you a work-in-progress image for approval in a few days.

I need a Battler for my project.

Mmh... It makes me think of Reiji from Bloody Roar 4 (I can't find a better reference than this one: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/bloodyroar/images/7/73/BR4Reiji1.png/revision/latest?cb=20131215195002)

I could make a similar "furry" crow humanoid with a crazed expression and golden/orange feathers.
Is it for RMVX?
Do you need him to fit a specific size?
And would you prefer that I use a specific style over another (realistic, anime, pixelated, or similar to another pre-existing battler, etc.)?

Name title

Since we accept that a fictional character named God and pronouns referring to Him are written with capitals, I have no problem seeing the same rule applied to other fictional characters... Heaven and Hell, etc.
:P

Seriously, either option is commonly accepted.

Creating a feeling of Healing Item Scarcity

You could play through the game using as little healing as possible to test the battles and assess how much healing is then necessary to win a second battle.
Create a bunch of single target and multi target healing potions with infinite uses in order to run that test and write down how many times you need to use them.
Also, use the best battle strategies possible to defeat your foes.

That would give you an idea of how much healing is barely enough for a relatively good player in order to beat the game. Then you can decide how to distribute the healing methods and/or make them available at what price, etc.

Map Weight in RPGs

Some extreme examples:

Riviera focuses more on exploration than battles. Almost every room of every dungeon has at least one event/cutscene you can activate by inspecting your surroundings. Those events may grant loot, develop the plot, the world or the characters, or unveil hidden paths.

Rolan's Curse 2 is also quite unique. You level up by picking treasure chests scattered on the maps. Fighting monsters can only give you random item drops that you'll seldom need to use. Therefore you can play the game by avoiding nearly all monsters, grabbing the level upgrades and fighting only the bosses.

Odin Sphere Leifdrasir (Remake + HD Remaster)

Massive fangasm for the newly revealed trailer of Odin Sphere Leifdrasir.

The game will apparently include an HD remastered version of the original game (not that it weren't already gorgeous), as well as an extra mode with several added features such as new areas, platforming action, new enemies, new character abilities, an enhanced crafting system, etc.

You can watch the trailer below. The first half showcases the remastered original game, the second half introduces the new content.
I'm really excited about this remake and it's great to see a professional dev studio being passionate about their projects enough to offer both options, and caring about their fans.

This is probably what Squeenix should do with the FF7 remake: one version should only have better graphics and another should redesign everything. That way every single fan would be happy with it.

[RMVX ACE] Help with plot.

It would be interesting to have both options available and the player has to make a choice. The player can decide whether or not they want to protect the group when Phantom is about to kill them. In that case, one of the main ideas behind the plot is to choose what kind of justice do you believe in in this situation.

After that, you can either let the player still fight Phantom, or join him, or take the group back to town and deliver them to the authorities.

Favorite kind of battles/battle system?

If I control a single character, I prefer Action RPGs that challenge me on every level: quick thinking, positioning, skill and reflexes, focus on offense or evasion, strategy and preparation, etc.
Ys games or Castlevanias for instance fall under this category.

In party battles I prefer to have complete control over every character... so turn-based battles are usually a safe bet. I'm also fine with games like the Tales Of or Star Ocean series, or Secret of Mana for instance, in which your allies may act on their own or be given a general strategy to follow.
