AVEE'S PROFILE
Avee
5794
I started to design games at age 5, drawing maps and sprites with felt pens and paper. Then I began writing stories and game scenarios. I've been working with Rpg Maker 2000 and 2003 mostly, as soon as they came out.
I favor RPGs, Action RPGs and Fighting games. My favorite styles are Fantasy, Horror and anything dark or gothic. I also appreciate cute and funny content.
I make a lot of pixel art and some digital art (concept, promo, fanart, etc.)
I also compose 8-bit music.
Don't be shy and send me a message if you want to commission my work ;)

RMN Birthday 2015
Hmm... I just took notice of this. I won't have much time tonight or any time tomorrow...
Good luck to everyone, have fun and happy anniversary RMN!

My favorite kind of robot overlord.
This is really cool. I think it's fascinating that a live human music performance, something that seems very complex with lots of subtleties and emotion, can be quantified and emulated to perfection by a computer program.
Dance notation is also something. It would probably be more complex to record and program a choreography than it is a music piece, but maybe someday robots will be able to dance like the greats as well...

Explanation
I enjoyed it overall.
It felt like a satisfying experience the first time through even though I got the fire ending. The emotions were powerful and well conveyed by the writing, repetition, text color and screen tints/special effects, and pacing.
The later scenes, interacting with the parents, reminded me of guided imagery and I think it was very well represented.
The existential bits in the beginning seem a little misleading as to the rest of the game, but it might be a matter of interpretation or understanding: I've never been very fond of existential theories or good at applying them to therapy.
Then my gamer habits took over: I wanted to see if there were a better ending and played 3 more times, trying different options. I didn't mind that the dialogue choices were sometimes hard to gauge. It felt right considering Era's struggle and state of mind. Some of the lines like "I want to visit heaven" were potentially misleading, but maybe they added to the experience after all.
I finally got the good ending on my fourth attempt.
I have to admit that going through the longer scenes again was a bore. A save feature would have helped... but I wonder if you intended for us to play only once and take the experience as it is, or play again and try to "win" the game.
Which of those would strike the best balance between the point of the game and the player's satisfaction, I wonder.

A Golden Week of RPG Maker 2003
My Tears Keep Flowing After Hearing These Five Words.
No game will ever please everyone. Even milk chocolate or sex don't.
But there are games out there that can move you in a particularly strong manner, depending on your personal tastes and knowledge of existing games, playing a new one that innovates or shows great design in one or more aspects can feel perfect to you.
For instance, Mega Man X and Super Metroid were groundbreaking gaming experiences to me back in the days and I still enjoy playing them.

A game by any other name (trademarks...)
I suppose Square Enix' Hitman: Absolution is the culprit?
I voted for Smoke and Flame. It sounds good and seems to fit with the setting and theme.

Bachelors' Deal Review
Thanks for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed the game overall :)
Before we finished the game I wanted to implement keeping track of the contestants' personality and answers after the contest was over, but the randomness has been received mostly positively so far and convinced me to keep the answers random.
That quote you got in the second screenshot really fits your character and the remaining contestant :P

How do I overcome the problem, "The file system3 cannot be opened"?? But, this usually happens when I play RPGMaker 2003 games and I also tend to give up on the game entirely after that. But, this one's an exception! So, please! And thank you so much for the lovely game! Good Luck on your upcoming works! GodBless!! =D
The problem is that you're missing the file called System3. That file is in the RTP package for RPG Maker 2003.
Download the RTP then install it on your computer: http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/download/additional/run-time-packages
If the problem persists you might also get some help from reading this thread: http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/14005/
@iddalai, Link: I think I'll be working on those commercials :) It'll be a nice addition to the game.

That happens. Making sure none of the lines are repeated would require keeping track of over 60~70 answers, which would be a nightmare to code and probably not worth it.
Increasing the amount of potential answers would be another suitable, although imperfect solution, but we didn't have enough time or inspiration to write more.
I like the idea. Commercials for games hosted on RMN could be a fun experiment.
- Some of the lines repeated while on the same playthrough, was that suppose to happen? It would be better if each line only appeared once per playthrough (even if that's a nightmare to pull off).
- Sometimes the dates say contradicting stuff.

- It would be fun to have some sort of short random commercial during the breaks.

How To Procrastinate
You're spot-on and reading this is both funny and not funny: Procrastination really is a horrible poison in anyone's existence and understanding why we do it is an important step in overcoming it.
What worked for me years ago is to force myself to do what I didn't feel like doing, right away. Willpower, plain and simple.
It also helps to try and enjoy the task, lower your expectations, accept that sometimes your results are mediocre, put an end to self-deprecation and self-induced shame, be more optimistic in general, divide the task into a series of small steps...
