Pro tip newbies: Learning takes effort
No help?
You've got countless forums out there designed totally around giving you help, where staff intentionally aim to make sure all help requests are fulfilled. You've got now an official forum where they aim to help anybody who needs it. You've got sub communities, facebook communities, RM Net...
The whole RM world is GEARED AROUND helping people, especially new people. The RM community is totally ABOUT helping people, in fact I'd wager a lot more people are generally supportive folk than game makers.
If you want help, ask. If you don't get answers, move to the next community along and see if someone there knows.
I mean, crap, this is RM Net, and the support here is top class, but I help run a site and we mostly sit around all day twiddling our thumbs waiting for a support topic we can get our teeth into. And pretty much every RM site out there is the same.

Trying to think of a cool contest to start in this issue and end in the next, preferably something that would compliment the RM Web one. Anyone got any ideas?
I bought an extra copy of the Humble Bundle we could use as a prize, (paid considerably extra for it so I didn't feel guilty). I know that's not a SUPER AMAZING prize but it's a prize nonetheless.

Soccer World cup is coming. Anyone coming to BR?
News in The Sun (I know... it was the only paper in the canteen) is that Argentinian gangs butthurt about the Falklands are going to be targeting British people in Brazil. Fun. (Also Shaniqua, 22 from Slough has a nice rack)
Remove one letter from a games title to make a new one.

That might be down to my monitor, sorry, as I've had that comment about my games before! I'll work on it cheers.
Name your maker!
I'm torn. On the one hand, XP is the maker I've used for a decade, and know most about. But I know in my heart VX Ace is a bit better (in some ways)... I can just never get around its mapping system though, which is awful. XP trumps it in so many ways.
...but then I also love 2k (never actually used 2k3 much) because you don't have the ability to make custom scenes as easily. Sounds weird, (and I appreciate people DO create some amazing event systems), but not being able to create an uber battle system from a scripting system means more time to spend making the actual game. I'd be much more likely to finish a game in 2k because there are less distractions. I wouldn't be coding extensive systems that end up unused or unnecessary, I'd be actually gamemaking.

Harrison Ford...Seriously
He seems to be getting a bit... ...slow? Is that offensive? I dunno how else to describe it. I just mean his speech is getting slow and he's taking a lot of time to answer questions when interviewed and such... and it also shows in his latest films. Maybe I'm just hearing things, but he doesn't sound his full self nowadays. :(
