After college angst comes the mid-twenties existential crisis, then a decade and a half of intentionally busying yourself to avoid thinking about it, followed by a mid-life crisis, followed by the crippling realization that there's no way to stop the slow march towards death. Also I think that you begin to develop an unhealthy fixation with Fox News around this time.
This picture sure is purty.

A Very Long Rope to the Top of the Sky
Still considering trying to go commercial at some point maybe soon
If you're worried about not hitting a potential audience by going commercial, you can always just go commercial and if there's no/diminishing sales after X amount of time, then switch it over to free (or keep cutting the price until sales fizzle out altogether).
I think that if you feel you're ready, then you should go commercial. I think the biggest potential cost--assuming that you're not putting more time/money into this game than you normally would--is the emotional one of having a small number of people buy your game or having the less hospitable world outside of the RPG Maker community shit all over your game, but, fuck it, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

It's here! Steam version is a GO!

I hope everything goes well! You're kind of a canary in the coalmine for me, so I hope that you get through this and become a really beefy canary possibly with super powers.
I've been laid-off from my job but I'm not going to give up on my dream to keep making games.
Damn; you're one of the hardest workers on this site. What kind of an idiot would lay you off? You'll bounce back in no time.
How to make a fence who will only buy stolen items? RMVX ACE
author=KloeAnd yeah, using a thing that modifies all shops probably isn't to be desired... um, I think I've seen some MV Plugins at least that let you do like "sell shops" where you can sell only certain things, lemme look and see if I can find a VX Ace script of the same thing.
Edit: http://himeworks.com/2013/02/sell-only-shop/ seems to be a perfect option, basically you can create a shop that you can ONLY sell items at, and decide which ones, so you could basically say "I want to only sell items" and then select all your stolen goods! :D
That's not a fence at all! It's just a lowly post.
What are you thinking about right now?

Oh ho ho... The Chosen RPG on Steam. Sure it's $0.49, but do you really want something like this plaguing your public profile?
I know I'm late to the party on this one, but I just wanted to point out that nobody commented on the best part of that promo video: the mysterious badass Edge and his dynamic, expert swordplay.
