Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass

You can't! Your minor mistake will forever be memorialized here!

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass

There's nothing like that in the demo; there are a few horror levels in the demo, but they're both optional. The mandatory parts of the demo tend to be lighthearted. Also, I tend to be more of a fan of a slow build of dread rather than jump scares. I'm still designing the bulk of the horror content, though, so I'm not going to say that there won't be any jump scares in the full version, but I'm going to try to avoid anything that feels cheap for sure.

Born Under the Rain

I'm pretty busy with Jimmy right now, but I think it would be fun to make a treasure-hunting game as pre-mummy Masud, where he's a full-on unrepentant thief. Possibly have a frame story set after the events of the original and have some story elements tied at least thematically to what would basically be a prequel. Again, I've got like a year of dev left on Jimmy, but it might be something worth mulling over if that sounds like a fun concept.

Born Under the Rain

Thanks for playing! I can't speak for the other devs, but I would feel weird putting in a post game without some sort of post-game content (e.g. another dungeon or something), and we're done with this one unless Locke or Indra want to revisit it.

As for the ending:

I don't know think cohabitating with a mummy is a good permanent living situation, but it's a big desert, so there are lots more secrets to explore.

The God of Crawling Eyes

Good catch! You can feel free to address that in the translation; I'll put that on my to-do list, but it'll probably remain uncorrected since I'm focusing all my energy on Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass at the moment.

The God of Crawling Eyes

Sure, feel free to translate it!

Getting To The Next Level: Is Patreon a good idea to consider moving forward?

I think that something like Kickstarter would be a better avenue. From what I've seen, Patreon works when you can IV drip content to patrons in order to maintain interest. Unless you're planning on making this episodic, I'd expect Patreon to be a dead end. I could be wrong, though; maybe you've seen some examples of it working for a long-form single release like this.

What are you thinking about right now?

the easiest way to deal with a hangover is not to drink like an arsehole in the first place

So no butt-chugging then.

The entire game is secretly a Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass fangame XD

Our cave hands must fight. There can be only one.

Thus followed the longest bout of hand-on-hand violence in video game history. The resulting applause lasted for three straight weeks.

Everything looks... more flat than your previous locations. Or it's me... >.<

Yeah, I think you could address this with a bit of shading. For the octopus, for instance, you could use a darker, less saturated yellow (more advanced shading probably uses a nearby, cooler color, but I'm not the best at this kind of thing so play around and be consistent) on the bottom of the tentacles to round them out a bit. Also, you could use shadows to better anchor everything to the ground. I usually use a grey that's very close to black (30 on the brightness) and set it as a transparent color, but you can also just have black shadows if you want a lot of contrast; I seem to remember Breath of Fire 3 doing that.

Having things stylized like you currently have them isn't a bad thing, but it might clash with Pizza's tiles.
