INDRA'S PROFILE
Hallo, I make games.
I'm a mapper/writer and try to escape all other aspects of dev as much as I can.
My pastimes include consuming unhealthy amounts of manga, yaoi pr0n and begging people to work with me so I don't have to event or do gameplay.
Also expect HOARDS of typos from me. And rants. Much typoed rants.

Release Something Weekend Feedback!
RSW is all about feedback so here goes~
-Right away after character choosing problem with sprite cropping: A black line appears at the top of the player.
-The graphics are…odd. The mix is mismatched with resources from all over the place, which makes the overall style disjointed and a bit odd. I’ll suppose this was just as placeholders and not really intended to be the real material of the game (or simply no time due to deadline)
-I have absolutely no idea of what I’m supposed to be doing. Are mushrooms “mp”? Why can’t I pick up more things in the room with three numbers? What is my goal?
-I died and got a BAD ENDING on my second fight. Okay…?
-I’m building “Sp”, whatever that is. What does that even DO? There is no instruction to the battle basics at all.
-Went another way with the guard class and…died after finding a glove. I think I’m about done.
What can I say? I’m not entirely sure of what was the INTENTION of the game. It lacks any sort of direction, combat advice, or, heck, a save feature or any direction at all. If this was done for “challenge”…it does not work. Challenge is not the same thing as a hideous lack of information.
Mapping is inexistent, resources are mismatched. I had no idea of what the effects to skills actually were 90% of the time, so combat was not really enjoyable. Lack of health restoration (when I needed it) did not help.
I can’t tell what this game was aiming for. If this is supposed to be a very raw prototype, that’s one thing I could accept. If it’s supposed to be this way to be “hard”, then it goes about it the wrong way. At east some bare explanation of combat basics is needed, otherwise you’re just stumbling around in the dark for no reason, since there’s no plot or anything else going on either.
Now after writing these notes I saw your actual game page (I’m playing them all brind so no biases arise) and…well, the plot in the demo certainly does not exist, and it’s nowhere as exciting as you plan it to be. For one, dungeon randomization is pretty baldn when all rooms are basically squares with a thing in the middle. Havign to choose between different chests when you DON’T KNOW what the contests are: never fun.
Overall I understand the general direction you wanted to go, but it just…doesn’t work right now.

In Search of Immortality Review
@Ronove: You're certainly entitled to your opinion. I shall have to disagree :>
@CCM: I wouldn't say Pudding's feelings are very hidden. I mean, his name alone is sort of derp XD (but yeah the aftermirror scene was something I tried to dit and came out sorta jumbled, I can see what you mean).

Well, I was mostly talking about direclty naming other community memebers (community members, I'm not even talking about big commercial games or anything) is... a practice I would not follow myself and I have not seen around. (Thought it could definitely be a thing that happens and I'm simply not aware about)
Well, if I came out as whiny then I totally failed to express myself correctly and I apologize OTL I hate it msyelf when I give feedback and the subject reacts badly. I tried to word myself the best I could and apparently failed, sorry x.x
Well, take my whiny defensive stance as me being an overprotective idiot, and believe me when I say that no matter how whiny I may sound, your concise feedback is definitely helpful, since it gives us a list of things to adress~
(Also I cant help but be proud that my favourite part of games, aka characters, were considered good enough to comment on, specially on a three day effort XD (also uuugh, I knew the mirror scene was off, I'll have to look into that one ><)

In Search of Immortality Review
Well, obviously as a developer anything I say will be biased, but I felt I had to adress a couple things XD
First, thanks for the review! I know they're a lot of work and it's always awesome to get one! (Glad you liked the characters, they're my personal favourite part of game making.)
As for overall development...well, the game was written and evented in three days. (Basically all we did before that was some general planning and mapping, snippets of the combat system and so on). Character classes were finished in a couple days, enemies were made in one day, and testing consisted of me, Fomar and Scinaya feverishly trying out everything before the deadline.
It's to be expected that the game is far from perfect, but I feel I should still defend myself saying "it was just three days!" XD (bear with me, I'm a protective game mom, I can't help it ;A;)
And...well, there is no delicate way to say this, so I'll jsut be frank: comparing our gameplay section to Craze's or whatever (any other member of the community would have been the same, really) feels...a bit offensive. I don't say (or believe) you did it with any maliciousness, of course, but it feels...bad.
Not because of the person you're referencing specially, but because it gives the impression that we tried to copy another community member instead of being ourselves, and...well, it just feels a wee bit insulting, is all (I said there was no nice way to put this XD)
Anyway! There are probably things I could nitpick, but I'll obviously be defensive of all the aspects of the game, and everyone has their own perspective so I'll stop '3'
Glad you enjoyed the game overall, and hope you'll be able enjoy our games in the future too! (Hey, our next release won't have a loomig deadline so the level of polish should be higher, we'll see if we succeed better on the aspects you didn't like next time :9)
(Also pssst, all characters are planned to come back at some point in another game)

Island of Farnor II
Got a decompressing error when installing for some reason, could not play (Failed to load actor data error).
Can’t give feedback for RSW, sorry.

Fruity Frenzy!
Um………what am could I possibly say about this, really? XD
You’re a Kirby ripoff collecting…M imprinted tomatoes…?
There isn’t much to it really, I’m not specially skillful at these games so the 2-3 times I played I got poked by the clones and died.
…Nice work? I mean, there were no great bugs or anything else I can say, so…XD

Yeah, Clues is a prequel, and the first game Fomar and me did together (it was the one that started all this game completion madnessssss!).
Also glad you like the collaborative world! Not many people ever comment on it, I'm happy someone seems to like it :D
As for the review...well, I can't say I wouldnt be happy to have one, but it can't be helped if you don't feel up to it (If we could force people to write reviews we would do it, believe me, but our hypnosis research has gone nowhere ;-;)
Also I don't have a laptop, so I'm staying at desk level...and working. With some luck we'll be posting news soon(ish), but at the moment we're going back to completing In Search of Dragons, and Fomar is (dun dun dunnn) revamping combat system to a CTB like in Immortality.
To clarify, all the points where Dragons may have come short are because I am horrible at gameplay and I had to force a friend to help me. Now that I have a slav- I mean, my dearest partner Fomar going at it, the game has no option but to get better XD

That wonderful moment when giving harsh criticism, and the subject actually responds positvely instead of defensively. So wonderful, if everyone was like that I'd be a fucking pleasure ;A;
me irl: i don't care about your fight pickign or whatever the fuck you're trying to do. Move along.
Differences between trying to start something and giving criticism: millions.

Yeah Mawk stuff you too :D Keep clear of my stuff if you're only going to try and pick a fight, thanks.
I mostly wrote this after the huge surprise that were two people. I've been playing throught RSW entires are...I'm not good at sugarcoating words. I was quite harsh with two and they were the BEST to receive the feedback (and I can say one of them had the msot negative (as in the game was bad) criticism I've written, and he took it so well my hope for giving crit leveld up by 50 levels XD) I haven't had anyone fly into a fury at me (yet) over the RSW feedback but it wouldn't be the first time it happens.
Also still so many fucking stuff to play from RSW, this isn't even funny, why are there SO MANY ETNRIES GODDAMNIT ;A;

I....*sheds a tear* I am always so happy when people like characters, they are my passion ;M;
Thanks a ton for the feedback, and I'm elated you enjoyed the game!
As a shameless plug, we've made a couple games of similar lenght in the past that you may enjoy (heck, there are even cameos from them in the credits, since they all take place in the same county :D)
Dead Moon Night
The Grumpy Knight
And slightly unrelated but you could still enjoy it:
In Search of Clues
Or...well, just check the game list in either Fomar or mine's profiles. If you liked the characters here, there's a good changce you'll like these too XD
Shameless plug done, I will happily fly away into the horizon. Honesly, thanks a lot for the feedback, it makes us so happy it's not even normal XD
