Hi all !
I like 16-bits RPGs (especially action RPGs) where you feel the quest behind the lines of code. I also like strategy, puzzle solving, immersive stories, tabletop RPG and LARP.
I'm a hobbyist C programmer who likes to work on custom game mechanics. My very first project was a very basic map generator for Genesia, aka Ultimate Domain https://rpgmaker.net/users/Irog/locker/UltimateDomainWorld.zip
I also want to help developers polishing their projects with my player feedback. So I'll be happy to test your game !
See you around,
Irog

The Tiamat Sacrament
Forget my previous post, the easy way is:
From this web page, go to the game "Puzzle Solutions" tab and watch the ice slide puzzle video. At time 0:38, move as shown here

You can get that chest! I remember leaving the place with it opened.
If you need detailed instructions, send me a save file (put it in your locker and copy the link) and I'll try to make instructions print screens.

Noel_Kreiss pointed out that pronunciation of character names isn't always obvious. He is right and it applies to many games but you can solve the pronunciation issue and keep the name Wiola. How? Like Jenna did for the main character of A Journey's End: explain how to pronounce it! There Tila is pronounced "Tea La".
Personally, I like the name Wiola and I pronounce it "Wee Ola".

It looks nice.
I would raise Clem's portrait to display mouth and eyes like other characters. Drawing horizontal lines shows the misalignment.
Judth icon should match her weapon: a pole weapon not sword!

[Poll] Judging whether to download a game? What do you look for?
Screenshots are the first things I look at. They show you what you'll see while playing and give a good idea about the game atmosphere. RPG Maker VX squares lower my interest in the game while old style 2000/2003 strikes my nostalgic spot.
I look for good mapping, original ideas, and custom elements... anything that makes the game unique.
If you made something custom make sure some screenshots show it!
Best example out there: Lands of Lunori
And, yes, screenshots are the best way to find Action RPGs (my favorites).

2-edition AD&D conversion into RPG Maker Vx Ace
In ADD2, amour doesn’t reduce damage. It reduces the probability to hit. ADD2 system uses inverted logic: better ability to hit comes with lower Thaco values and better armor protection comes with lower AC values. Here is the probability table for any attack:
Critical hit usually implies double damage.
Critical failure usually implies some bad stuff for the attacker.
Damage computation is as LockeZ explained, except for armor damage reduction:
rand(6)+1 + Att bonus
This was my share of D&D experience so RPG Maker experts can better help you.
| Action | Probability |
| Critical hit (getting pure 20 on the dice) | 5% |
| Normal hit | (20 + AC - Thaco) * 5 % and must be in the 0% to 90% range |
| Critical failure (getting pure 1 on the dice) | 5% |
