IROG'S PROFILE

Hi all !

I like 16-bits RPGs (especially action RPGs) where you feel the quest behind the lines of code. I also like strategy, puzzle solving, immersive stories, tabletop RPG and LARP.

I'm a hobbyist C programmer who likes to work on custom game mechanics. My very first project was a very basic map generator for Genesia, aka Ultimate Domain https://rpgmaker.net/users/Irog/locker/UltimateDomainWorld.zip

I also want to help developers polishing their projects with my player feedback. So I'll be happy to test your game !

See you around,

Welcome

You're looking for best story and characters so go for Forever's End, Three the Hard Way, Everlasting Journey and Ara Fell.

Follow above poster's advices or hit the "Send me in, coach!" button on the game page. ;-)

Enjoy!

Not your average greetings post (I hope)

The book of course! You need both the book and the pen to write information but you can read the book without the pen. So if you lose the pen, you lose the ability to write. If you lose the book, you lose the ability to write and read.
I equally respect the pen and the empty book. But as soon as there is something written in the book, I respect the book more.

... and welcome to RMN :-)

Hero's Realm Review

Your map is very good, especially the party location indicator but lacks town name indications. Write numbers on the map like http://rpgmaker.net/media/content/users/26942/locker/Map2.png , shift it to the left, and display Number-TownName list on the right. It’ll be excellent. Show town names for visited towns only. It’ll be perfect!

When we cast the return spell, we select destination town name from a list while facing a blue screen. We need your map there!

Most people like generous experience and some prefer more challenge... so an in game adjustable Easy/Normal/Hard difficulty option would make everyone happy. :-)

Greetings

Great work! Your tracks are very pleasant to listen to.

Lands of Lunori

Your action battle system is quite good. It has some nice Secret of Evermore and Illusion of Gaia touch. I started to really like it but... In the Torrin Plains, a "The file axe2 cannot be opened." error message pops up every time I get close to a bee. Then the game closes and I can't continue the quest. :-(

Ping me if you revive your project, I'll be happy to play it and give feedback.

I also like your custom graphics.

Swimming.png

Nice dive feature! :-)
But there is a bug: the intuitive walk-down-the-stairs doesn't work. :-(

Over the fence

I was on the unregistered RMN player's side of the fence, giving too little feedback to game authors. You received one from me several months ago... I'll dig into my mailbox to find that Hero's Realm feedback I wrote and post it. Thank you all for welcoming me !

Over the fence

Hi everyone,

I finally jumped over the fence!

As I found myself coming again and again to RMN, I decided to register. Retrogaming of SNES-age is a lot of fun to me. I like 16-bits RPGs where you feel the quest behind the lines of code. This is the exact same feeling I rediscovered when I reached RMN by the Three-The-Hard-Way door :-) Many games here are pure gems like Forever's End, Hero's Realm, Ara Fell, Avarice, Everlasting Journey, SkyE... and a lot more for me to discover. Big thanks to all game authors, contributors and testers. I don’t have enough time to start a game project of my own. All have been able to make so far is a very basic map generator for Genesia, aka Ultimate Domain (http://rpgmaker.net/users/Irog/locker/UltimateDomainWorld.zip). So I’m willing to help others polishing their games with my player feedback.

See you around,
