Top Ten Topics: Christmas Gifts Given and Received

Gave:
Invited close family and friends out to eat at Ruby Tuesdays, and I paid half the bill. My cousin didn't get around to giving people gifts so she put in the other 50%.

As for what I got:
-$50 gift card for Borders
-Fridays gift card for $25. Spent it already. The Ultimate Mudslide was delicious.
-I took my sisters old monitor because she got a new one and I replaced my even older one with it.
-$20 gift card for California pizza kitchen
-Watch
-Yellow shirt
-Blue sweater
-Black jacket

I think that's it. Can't do a top 5 for given as I only gave one. I didn't do top as I didn't know what to rate them.

Party Question

Well, you could start out by putting out some chips, appetizers, inviting a few of your friends, and possibly some alcohol if you're over 21. Rum and Coke is a good one, though you may be a beer person.

As for RM2K, simply use the add/remove party member command. Add in the characters you want to join, and they'll be in there. As with most RPGs, they won't follow you around, you'll just see them when you open the menu. How many characters do you plan to have?

Mmmmm.... Rum and Coke.

I need help with font!!!

The 3 line thing happened to me before. If what GRS said doesn't work, I'd suggest getting a patch for it. 1.08 or something.

Possibly the Hardest Game Ever

Yeah, that one looks funny. I want to play it, I downloaded it but when I run it, it just gives me a black screen and then quits out. Am I supposed to have something else or download some other thing?

A beginner's question!

Is this RPG Maker 2k/3 or XP?

Positioning of bosses

So I was playing Sonic 2 because I wanted to see how fast I can beat it. I got up to Oil Ocean before quitting, but that's not what I want to talk about. My point is that there's always a boss on Act 2 of each Zone. It works well enough for Sonic 2, I'm not complaining about that. It just made me think about it for RPGs.

You know how at the end of each dungeon in an RPG, you fight a boss? Do you think it's good to keep it that way, or do you like to mix it up a bit? Should every dungeon even have a boss? Do you try to find a reason that a big enemy is just blocking the 1 tile passageway to the exit? Anything you can suggest to people to make it better, or do you think it's good as is?

We Did It First screenshot thread

Is it bad that I think this random dungeon generator is doing a better job at mapping than a lot of people do?

Dragonic Legends v.1

Have any screens or any info about the game?

Who's YOUR favorite japanese composer? What's your favorite japanese soundtrack??

Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana), Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger), the many composers for the Katamari soundtracks. Argh, I want the Beautiful Katamari soundtrack. Talking anime, I really like some of the songs from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (I have the Haruhi violin soundtrack too). Uematsu was my initial musical influence, and has quite a few songs I like too, such as FF6's chocobo theme, FF1's battle theme, FF7's Ahead on our way, Jenova, FF8's Breezy.

There are a whole lot more composers and soundtracks from Japan that I like, such as Mai-Hime mentioned before. There's also all these songs that I can't tell who the composer is or what the title means, but they're very good and are all in my mp3 player.

I like CRPG's like Oblivion and Might and Magic, but I wish it had songs like the JRPGs do. (And female characters too...)

Uematsu does have good stuff, but there's just so much of it that many appreciate the volume of work more than the work itself. He does have tracks that I enjoy all the time, but the majority just does what its supposed to. There are a lot of REALLY beautiful arrange albums, though, like Love Will Grow, Potion, and, of course, the Black Mage remixes. All hail "J-E-N-O-V-A" and "This is Our Last Battle." XD
Speaking about arrange albums, it's fun to hear the Final Fantasy 3 overworld theme (which I like) sung in Portuguese. It's odd but I still like the song.
