Gredlen's Official Anime and Manga Topic of Fun and General Merriment!
My favorite anime/manga are Azumanga Daioh, Yotsuba&!, and 2x2 Shinobuden.
Azumanga and Yotsuba&! are made by Kiyohiko Azuma, and are basically comedy/daily life types. I thought Azumanga was hilarious, and Yotsuba&! is really cute and will make you smile. My avatars will usually be of either Azumanga (Sakaki would be most common, though I have a Tomo quote as my user title), or a scan from Yotsuba&!.
Azumanga Daioh is a 4 panel comic strip style, while Yotsuba&! is more like short stories. They're both really good, it took me a little while to get into Yotsuba&!, but now I look forward to reading more. There are 4 mangas of Yotsuba&! out right now (And 4 Azumanga Daioh mangas), so I'd recommend you pick them up. There are 3 more mangas that are fan translated for Yotsuba&!.
2x2 Shinobuden is a comedy too. It's different from the previous 2 and can get just plain stupid at times. Still, some scenes were absolutely hilarious. Plus, Shinobu is cute. I have 2x2 Shinobuden wallpapers for my desktop, and on occasion I'll make Shinobu as an avatar.
Otherwise, I don't really watch anime or read manga. I have read Tenchi Muyo manga, while they can be funny at times, they get really formulaic. I do prefer the manga to the anime, though.
I've watched some of Haruhi Suzumiya, and if it weren't for Haruhi, it would be really boring to me. I haven't watched all that much of it to judge it like that, though.
I've only been able to watch some clips of Lucky Star. I like it so far, too bad I can't find full episodes of it. Also too bad that the characters look like they're 5 years old or something, and they're in High school.

Don't worry! I've been working on it as much as I can. I've still got a lot left before I can release a demo, I have to make the other NPCs (The ones that you can hire), I have to set the steal switches for each battle, make the rest of the quest pictures, fix up the ABP and Gold gain/cost, Add a quest, and change around the dialogue. I'm hoping to get it done by the end of August. I probably won't have time for a custom soundtrack until after that, so I'll probably use FF1 music in the mean time.
Hope it doesn't disappoint!

Yeah, I agree with WIP.
Something I've been working on recently. You can hire most NPCs, and they have different effects. They work for the whole party if they're battle skills. Some can make merchants refund 5% of what you spent, some can increase the amount of ABP you gain in battle, among other stuff.

Example NPC in action. He can be hired in game for free (A reward for finishing a quest for him), and casts Focus (Double mind to everyone). Of course, with a 3 Fighter and 1 Red Mage group, Focus isn't too useful, though you can always change your class.

Those doors are pretty big for 16x16 character sprites. Unless they're not 16x16 character sprites, which then you should ignore this message. For it will self destruct.... I'm assuming they're for some specific use, because the tileset doesn't have doors that big. So basically, what's it for?
Are the sprites going to be custom too?

Inquisitors world map is great. If I used RMXP I'd give it a try. The map you made looks good, Prexus.

Games you've been neglecting... (The Pile of Shame)
Final Fantasy VII (Though I'm just replaying it)
Xenosaga
Bouncers
Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga (Again, replaying it)
I don't know how Xenosaga and the Bouncers are like, so I'll see if I can finish them or not.

Has anyone played it yet? I'd like to hear other peoples opinions on what parts were good, and what parts (other than the graphics) that need improving.
