RADNEN'S PROFILE

I like to make video games, especially action RPG's.

I make games slowly. Call me slow. But quality is always better than quantity!

Solar Panel Roads

Stop and go traffic would severely diminish the light from hitting the panels.

I'm waiting for scientists to unlock the full spectrum of potential (of energy waves) from solar panels. They aren't very efficient yet. In 2050 their efficiency may rise to 80%. Suggesting they work at or under 20% efficiency today...

Rework The Dead: Evil

NewBlack: by pressing CTRL+F10, you can get it to go in fullscreen. If you're graphics card is set up right it should center to the middle of the screen. (Then you don't have to worry about cursor going off the game window).

Also doesn't the game have an option to catch the mouse cursor?

Rework The Dead: Evil

So I started playing through the game and I'm very impressed with it! You;ve came a far way since Jack.

The only (detrimental) issue I noticed was the (lack of) v-sync which can be fixed via the config.exe. My eyes kinda started hurting from the tearing effect.

The gore is outstanding, however! I also think you skimped on the GUI at places, but that's only from a personal perspective, everything else is outstanding!

Actually, Radnen, this looks pretty unique in my opinion.

I don't think so, you know what looks unique? The current game of the month (Rework the Dead for those posting later). But I digress, this place has historically been unsupportive of unique artistic styles. (Appreciative is a totally different word, do not get it confused with what I said).

But the mapping is good! This I'll definitely recognize.

You probably did this just to get the game submitted - I understand. I would have liked to see a textbox or something else like that at least.

Do people do this often? Post random examples of the RTP?

What about this tells me the game looks different from any other game? Nothing! :/

(Don't take it so hard, I see many of these kinds of screen from many games hosted here).

The Treasure of Fenglade

What I like about this is the title. It's really specifically worded. It makes you immediately think what the game is going to be about: Find some kind of treasure at some place.

I don't like the story.

Put the treasure elsewhere! Placing the treasure essentially at the beginning of the game and having the player go down dungeons to get it doesn't invite a lot of room for exploration. You can still have the treasure located near the start of the game so long as some object like a key, scroll, or rune needed to uncurse/unlock/uncover the item is located elsewhere.

Yeah yeah, Diablo I, Fate and Torchlight do this, but there's no side-ward exploration as if you're traveling a world-map to new lands which is mutually constitutive of a good RPG.

The way the story starts: a young boy overhearing adventurers of some treasure and then people telling him it's impossible to obtain is a wonderful idea. But it invites the boy to go to the far reaches of wonder to find the item. I like the cast of characters, but I'd rather the boy stumble upon them like a classic wizard-of-oz companionship rather than hiring a group from the get-go.

Yeah, it does look kinda weird now that you mention it. But I don't want to go out of my way to drastically alter every face image or else I won't get the game done.

I'll make slight changes where appropriate, of course. So It won't hurt to change his face. I may just make the smile unique to the hero portrait.

Hmm... Interesting I don't know if I should take that as an insult or not, you sound really innocent. You might be mistaken probably because you don't know me, so... to cut to the chase I know color quite well. The screenshots here are quite old.

Also, never assume you can point someone in the way of an article and promise they'll learn "color theory" from it. Trust me I've tried teaching others about it and the only real way is by practicing - alot.

To clarify any color issues with any of my screens: Every color for every pixel is tentatively colored until I can personally find the correct flavor to use. This particular screen is not supposed to have a lot of color or a wide range of colors.

That's way gorier than the previous logo! :D
