Bug Reports

Thanks so much for the report, providing a save, and being patient while we fixed it! Airship bug is taken care of.

Oh, don't worry, you didn't. This was from a mock file and I just forgot to remove that character. You can get them soon from where you are though!

@rebel1223 Good stuff! Fievel and Doiden seem to be favorites!

To everyone else, a patch has been added to the downloads section to fix the disappearing airship glitch. Download and install it before speaking to the elder after getting the Amulet of Garland for best results, but there is a failsafe that should place your airship next to Koen in the event that you do not. The main downloads will be updated shortly. Sorry for the trouble! ;;

Final Fantasy: Legend of Balance

@rebel1223 I have fixed the problem and am sending you a PM with a link to your save. Long story short, there's an event on the airship after you speak with the elder, and it moves a sprite in from elsewhere. Because of my world map lag fix, that sprite had been disposed... so no airship. I fixed it all up and it shouldn't be a problem for anyone now. They'll just need a small patch.

Also couldn't help but peek at your group, I like the setup you have going! And wow at that play time, I'm glad you're having fun. =D

@Rebel: Looking into that airship issue right now. There's an event that runs after you get the Amulet, and I think that my world map lag fix might have messed up the processing of that event. I'm really sorry for the trouble.

@Noel: Really? Max ATB speed should be pretty quick. Higher numbers are faster speeds, it's kinda backwards from normal FF out of necessity. Could you send me your save file, please? I need to see if something might have gone wrong. I do have to go soon though, so I may not be able to really dig into it until later.

You can toggle the help menu on and off during battle... but for some reason, the bind is not working on keyboard (on gamepad, it should be the select/back button, ala old FF), and I don't know why. I'll add some more binds for it, really sorry for the problem.

Sounds like your DirectX needs to be updated. The game uses Xinput for better gamepad support (many popular gamepads don't work with RPGMaker by default). You can update DirectX here:

If that doesn't fix the problem, let me know and I'll see what I can do about getting you a patch to remove Xinput. Sorry for the trouble!

You mean the window on the left, or the UI in general? It's all mostly just heavy edits to default windows with several new ones for stuff like Defend/Row, MP cost in the skill window, changing gear, showing statuses when targeting, etc. The window on the left, if that's what you mean, is essentially just Window_EnemyList (the one that appears when targeting an enemy in the DBS) with any interaction bypassed, just always on display.

Audio File Issue Right Before First Boss

I'd just like to add, if you experienced this problem please post and just let us know. If it's an issue a lot of people are having I'll need to go through the game and manually change every reference to one of the few songs with Japanese in the title. Extracting with winrar should prevent the problem, though.

To other devs, don't be lazy like me and forget to rename songs! ;;

Can you do it as a .exe? It's easier for me.

I'd need to reupload the whole game to do that, so I'd rather not if possible. it's very, very simple to install. Just put the file in the Data folder of wherever you put the game.

Here's a link, this will update the Config with an easy mode option. On easy mode, monster attack, int, defense, and magic defense are reduced by 25%, and their speed is reduced by 20%. This should make the game really easy as long as you keep your equipment somewhat up to date. I would definitely only suggest this mode for beginners and people who do not want any challenge or just want the story, as it is not the intended gameplay experience. Let me know if you have any other problems and I'll do my best to help.

Yeah, there is some gear to find in chests, but I generally place gear you won't find in shops in chests. I'll go ahead and set up an Easy mode option and will upload a patch in a few.
