What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

author=Nightowl
Just played Neverhood, but can't get past the stupid H slider puzzle or whatever it is.

//Nevermind, solved it after constant raging.

That is one of the easiest puzzles, I couldnt even finish the game without a guide since I couldnt get the last "card", was stuck on a puzzle :) Great game though, the graphics are just brilliant. (though I already know a couple of places where you WILL get stuck :D)

Anyways, started a new world in Minecraft, since I didnt even play after the game went "release version". So much new stuff O.o

Daily Drawing Challenge!

Day 17, dont mind the unfinished "values", ran out of time quicker than I thought and didnt have time to finish, was focusing more on smooth lines... which are somewhat lost under the values... BAH:

Missed a few days, so much stuff I have to do in RL, not enough time to play all the games I want to play, plus to focus on my new-found hobby : drawing!

Daily Drawing Challenge!

Meh, didnt do too well today, messy lines, and the lightning isnt the best :D

Random Art Topic

Bah.... Been practicing poses and drawing in general, but when I try to sketch something that looks somewhat decent, it turns out like this:

Oh well, still a long way to go.

Daily Drawing Challenge!

Day 11 attempt:

PS: I love this thread already, it lets me practice, plus it shows that there are like bajillion ways to draw the same thing, so many styles :D

Daily Drawing Challenge!

Since I started painting again recently, I thought Id join :) Awesome idea Dudesoft.

Day 10

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

Kingdoms of Amalur on the PS3.... great, great rpg. There are some minor quirks, but it plays smoothly, the combat is fun (skyrim could learn a thing or two from this game), and the world is cool, visually and lore-wise. 20 hours in, and still a huge portion of the map left to explore (doing most of the side-quests prolongs this game a lot I guess, and they are fun...plus I actually managed to fail one quest, with no chance to do it again, since the NPC I had to protect died).

Also, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe on my PSP, one of the best tower defense games, so much content to play through.

Favorite RPG story and why?

Can't pick only one, since two recent RPG games really stuck to my mind.

Folklore
This game's story was hard to grasp at the beginning, but at the end when all the things made sense, I was like "WOAH, this is awesome!". Especially liked the truth about one of the main characters.

Nier
Deep, awesome story with great cast. Rarely can a game bring a tear(s) to my eye. The past (and fate) of the kickass girl, the story of a loving father and his "sick" daughter, the "true" overarching story... Loved this game's story so much. Watched all the other endings on youtube, and all of them were.... well, I overuse the word, but they WERE awesome.

So, Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning

author=prexus
It has issues, but it plays like God of War x Skyrim, with Warcraft's graphical style.

This :) It also reminded me of Fable 1, in a good way.

Anyways, holding my copy in my hands right now (even though I'm in Europe, the retailer I got it from doesn't probably care much about "release dates"), gonna fire it up and see how the final game holds up. Definitely looking forward to it though.

So, Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning

I've been keeping an eye out for this game, played the demo, and now, saw a review (even though it's from IGN, blah).

I'm sold, after being let down by Skyrim's PS3 version, and being frustrated with Dark Souls, this might finally be a great PS3 RPG I've been waiting for so long.

Even though the demo had some issues (mainly with the camera and sound), these should be fixed/removed in the final game, since the demo is from an earlier build of the game and doesn't include some fixes. My main problem was with the camera being too close at times, and being hard to control, but I'm hoping the devs listened to the many complaints of players on their forums (one of the devs made a specific thread asking players about their problems with the camera).

Anyone else excited for this game? I think the combat is quite fun and the graphic style is gorgeous, plus we can always use more epic RPGs with fun combat.

(Though I gotta say, the price is quite high in my favourite game store, might have to wait for a while before getting it :/ Damn PS3 and it's expensive games.)
