I like badasses. I like babes. I like badass babes the best. Okay...actually I like doggoes the very best, but I aspire to make games about badass babes is my point.
I use music from bands and artists in the free games I make: the frustrated filmmaker in me is very enamored of scoring scenes with rock'n'roll soundtracks Scorcese or Tarantino style. In addition to being a time honored tradition in cinema, this has a history in AAA videoogames as well (for a really great use of it, see Bioshock: Infinite). If I was a millionaire, I'd totally license these songs so I could actually use them legally.

Smoking cigarettes sucks sweaty donkey balls
Tobacco is indeed the wrong thing to smoke.
watching both my parents completely consumed by tobacco addiction from my earliest years until now in my 30s probably conferred some kind of advantage upon me, but using cannabis has never given me the temptation to smoke. I really think pot doesn't go hand in hand with tobacco, I think it's a clearly superior alternative to it. Alcohol is a different story:
(I smoke an average of maybe a dozen cigarettes a year, and always while shitfaced-drunk as a social thing. That said, knowing I'm not struggling with nicotine addiction, when I do smoke those occasional cigarettes, I prefer the extra "cool" (deadly) brands like American Spirits and Luckies.)

Well certainly in general, I mean if anyone needs a citation see the entire existence of Donald Trump. But I gotta say I'm pretty much with Marrend on this one. Unless I'm missing something clicking the "Submit" button, choosing the correct download from the dropdown, and then clicking "Submit Entry" is not exactly a hardship? And yes in theory a participant might miss the memo and that would be sad but in practice the people actively participating in this event are pretty much all checking back here on the regs, plus Notices exist, so if they're on the site at all, they'll get the memo.

In Ace the resource database refreshes when you open and close the import screen. Any modifications made to existing resources or any additions you made will pop out when you close the import screen.
Ogg has better compression. 5.50MB mp3 files are reduced to 2MB without sound losing much quality.
Get audacity stormcrow, you'll be able to turn mp3 into ogg quite quickly and efficiently.
I've had audacity on my computer for years and probably used it to convert the musics I was using to .ogg five minutes on either side of my OP, but I am still annoyed. Having to convert every single music file I put in my game using a separate program is a hundred little extra steps I could do without, making this another tally in the "I probably won't be switching to MV as my main dev tool" column. It's safe enough to say literally none of my music--either the stuff specifically squirreled away for use in games, or the stuff that is just on my computer because I am a human being and listen to music--is already in .ogg format so yeah, very inconvenient. (It does not help that more than occasionally, for one reason or another, the music I wanna use needs to be ripped from Youtube, so that's running it through TWO converters, youtube to mp3 (shady online converter) and then export as .ogg (audacity) and THEN import/drop in folder. So in those cases we're up to at least a three step process to get the song I want to play in MV.)
