I don't usually bash kickstarters, but...
it's kind of funny how shinan asks people to actually give some kind of insight and it's just a row of people just posting images.

I don't usually bash kickstarters, but...
i saw a tutorial on youtube showing someone editing rtp facesets and people actually asking commissions for it. bypass the whole process of art and photoshop a bunch of anime eyes together. thank you RTP you have created so many wonderful people.

you call a game like unemployment quest garbage, which in all respects it is, but it's kind of funny that the people saying it, also produces the same quality of work.
kickstarter provides a lot of great opportunities for people, especially in the indie scene. and that's awesome.

it is exactly like your project. i cannot tell the difference in quality. the fact that you think star stealing prince should be kickstarted should say a lot in itself.
i'm all about people jumping the kickstarter bandwagon. more power to you, but you need to have a certain level of quality to back that up, because you're competing with people who really deserve backing. yet another reason why society makes it incredibly difficult to get funding for creating art and entertainment for people.

valdis story: awesome game, quality, work effort great concept (lol wuts valdis story)
if you can't tell the difference in game quality you need your head examined. and some people honestly
can't tell the difference.
kickstarter is big in indie right now. there are very few games worth supporting because most of them are 40k for cat pong and 20k for tower defense???? but, with that said it makes the games that really have unique ideas and visuals stand out that much more.
i've yet to see a rm game represented well enough to kickstart. it comes down to people using RTP and thinking it's okay, and it's not. like i said before, it's a great starting tool, but that's it. you should never be getting funding for other peoples material.

1. rtp is starting content. rtp is for people who are lazy. you're lazy if you use rtp. that's fine, dude. THAT IS OKAY! think about it, you're using pre made content NOT designed for your "vision", but let's reward these people anyway, throw them money so they can pay off someone who can make something creative for them.
