Keeping it in RMN.

thanks dude. i appreciate the suggestion and i put it in my txt. one reason why i don't really get into-into it detail wise, is i'm either going to move to a different engine in the near future.

i really wanted to add clouds, um stars and more layered buildings in the back. you can do a lot with it, but unfortunately it's a waste of time when it's going to be ported elsewhere.

rm is a great tool. i try not to knock people, but limiting engine is cool for a while, it's like you said it's a challenge, but it gets to the point where it's not your vision and you just have to move out of it.

rm2k3 will always be my favorite, it was easy for me, had the best graphics to study, in my opinion the best games were produced in that program. and if one way rm2k was re-released with the proper fixes, i would def go back in a heart beat.

I need to drag Vacant Sky through the mud one more time.

i agree with you star skipping that david crane is an old piece of garbage, along with greg pabish(dat bitch)

if you guys don't know, i'll give you a little insight on greg. he is literally this fat, wealthy rich video game and movie distributor throughout the 90's. the guy is rich, and also owns the rights to action 52. he recently "kickstarted"
cheetahmen 2

if you guys don't know what cheetahmen is, it's an awful action 52 game, all of the games are garbage on that. the games were made by amateur designers in college at the time, in like a month. anyway, cheetahmen is literally broken glitch wise, long story short some kid on the internet fixed it so everyone can rom it for free, why they would is beyond me. but greg wants to generate 60k to re-distribute cheetahmen with the fix.

so basically, what i'm saying is, kickstarter, in a lot of ways try to help people get started financially with projects, will soon be monopolized by the wealthy.

i don't agree with you on perks, in a weird sense, it really depends on the project. if it's david crane and his hd quality mansion videos, yeah he should have some incredible perks. but, generally you don't donate to a cause and expect a great reward, you find something that you're interested and you support it.

a lot of small indie guys can't afford shirts, jewels, go kart rides for their fans, i mean in the scope of things you have to keep rewards practical, and i mean, i don't think that's directly shitting on fans. it's just "bro if i were rich and could do all these things for you i would but i am on ks because i'm not" in most cases.

latest blogs in the middle of the front page?

I would also like to note, that I heard somewhere that you guys would be policing shitty blogs. And it seems like a waste/feeble attempt. Maybe you can reward the good bloggers instead of trying to stamp out the bad ones, because so far I have seen absolutely no change in this.

I have read a few good blog post here and there, but now I really doubt I will be able to stumble on something good. It's hard, because I cannot favorite everyone on this website on the offchance they write something interesting or insightful.

It's like a lotto, be at the right place at the right time.

Still wondering how to do those let's plays.

a good lets play will give true insight into what they're playing, instead of making really annoying voices at everything they see. like, it's funny because it will make a good game seem bad, and a bad game seem worse when you hear someone just, who is really bad with voices constantly doing that.

it's like compensating for lack of insight.

Back from the raging seas.

mog bailed when i wanted to pla y him at umvc3. typical.

yeah, i do agree that video editing is an art style. takes a ridiculous amount of planning and set up, for sure. there are plenty of directions to take it, and with the technology/history in video games thanks to planet internet, there are plenty to draw inspiration from.

but like you said dude, like, quality isn't really an issue to some people and you just think to yourself ?????

Cell phones.

i seriously do not use cellphones, like, more power if you do if you need to stay connected to ??? 24 hours a day, but i shut off my cellphone long ago. if people want to contact me they do, not just constantly cellphone refreshing to see fantasy football stats.

it's actually really liberating not having one, because i do not need bads calling or texting all day/night.

play it, and suckle the teet that was once blizzards peak of successful entertainment.

latest blogs in the middle of the front page?

like i said, it obviously doesn't apply to everyone, and yeah, i am pretty lazy, i won't deny that. all i'm saying is i find myself not going out of my way to scroll down to look for the latest blogs i might or might not check.

i mean, it's not hurting me too much, but from my perspective i am just user 495853 stumbling on someones blog because it just happens to be on my screen and i might or might not find something interesting i wouldn't have found otherwise.

i mean, all it has done for me so far is check blogs less(which is bad for a developer i guess), and from the person who created a blog, might miss out on a comment or sub because i am lazy, and other people are probably lazy as well.

i mean, it's just my two cents. i'm not going out of my way to step on anybodies toes, it just feels like a step back and sort of bad design.
