Steam Greenlight overview. UMAHBRAH???

i do not think it is a bad method. it makes you consider it though, considering you can get free advertisment from various other places by simply e-begging. tigsource, indie games, etc.

i am totally not against the 100 dollar fee at all if it keeps quality control, but they should have simply purged all of the games before, or at least decided to do this from the get go.

i am sure they did not expect the flood gates of the worst. so i mean, you can't blame them.

Genesis is going commercial

you'll fit right on amaranth.

Picture stacking for the front page

it might bother me if i actually scrolled to the bottom. but i don't.

in the process of major blog image/content purge(lot's of outdated content)

well, the original direction was putting it on an engine "not" in the rm family, but seeing ace and hearing very good things about it, the project might be transferred to that.

like, it really comes down to crucial factors, like the ability to code in 8 directional movement, rotation, and layers.

i'm still debating to release the prototype demo to people on rm2k3 or wait till the ace transfer so people can experience all of the features in the prototype, like fixed battle system, better platforming elements etc.

so, hopefully soon, in the near future. i'm bad with dates, so it's good to just keep following.

(title change) Does the designer hinder your gaming experience?

...wha’la. We have our demo.

honestly, you're everything wrong with kickstarter and the game community in general. man, this post just makes me rage so hard, but it would be like blowing up at a literal infant.

Turning over to the "Dark Side"?

i am doing conceptual design commissions for a friend of mine, cutting him a deal, and it's circulating around 1k so far. bare in mind i'm trying to minimize the cost because he's a friend.

i have another friend who is trying to get money together to hire his artist for around 5k for just a basic demo.

i think you're minimizing the cost factor for artists. all i'm saying is, if you know artists who will construct a full rpg for you in under 2k. like, i am just not connecting the dots to 2k. if you're just getting a few pieces of art, or a couple songs i do not see the point.

10k is pretty bare minimum
20k is like, you pretty much secured your game development/costs/living expenses for 1 earth year.
XXX beyond that is, it just really depends on the game. like i said many times before i don't think RTP games should generate any funds, regardless.

i mean, i'm not ragging on your game or anything. you can do whatever you like. i am just not understanding. i watched your video on indiegogo, if you read my blog, the same things sort of apply to this as well, create a trailer instead of just, really drawn out game play, buy proper video recording software, etc.

that is all the insight i have to give.

goodluck!

Can't wait untill the post Kickstarter era kicks in, there'll be a hell of a lot of NPCs called Dave!

well, that is a good rant, and i agree, but i would like to hear in terms of things you would like to see as perks that are note worthy.

if people do like t-shirts, that is a viable option. as a person would that sway you to contribute? it would be really helpful to understand. do you think it should be a requirement for a developer to be in front of a camera and talk about things or simply show the "goods"?

like, it's pretty obvious from research that it's like the percentage is really less about the game(which really makes me sad) and more about the swag and who you know.
