SaGa 4: Masters of the Demon World

Thanks for the feedback! Hoping to have the full version out before the end of the year.

I'll add the bug to our internal list, don't think I've fixed that one yet... whoops.

Sweet Tooth

This looks pretty nifty.

(also I want flan now)

McBacon Jam (2?) post mortem

I would recommend more heads-up time for schedule planning. It's a lot easier to set aside two weeks when you're aware a month in advance as opposed to a week (or -5 days if you're me, oh well.)

Also extensions last time were very very stressful and discouraging. Committing to a two-week sprint/jam/contest/whatever is a lot different than committing to two weeks +x days. That's just scary and makes me not want to sign up for another.

Team members need to be up front about what they can and can't commit to. Just do the nature of working with random strangers, just someone's word isn't that strong, but it's better than nothing. I realize I'm not exactly in the green as I didn't participate in this event, but just my two cents.

I'm pretty sure this is on the cover of my edition of 1984.

McBacon Jam #2

Welp as usual I missed the event start. Really wasn't a great week to go without internet.

Steel Knights Review

Thanks for the review. There's still bits and pieces of this engine kicking around in more modern games so it's definitely relevant.

I have no idea what's up with that no health thing. Something in the window settings must be off. If you check the screenshots on the page, there's supposed to be a pretty detailed readout name, health, armor, xp, etc. Not sure what's up with chat either. But thanks, I'll add these on my fix list and maybe this game will get a facelift in the next couple weeks.

The Golden Age of Game Making

Oh wow I completely missed this was happening. Great.

Neat. Joking aside, I like text-heavy games and nontraditional storytelling like this, but it seems weak when you have both the text and the map there showing the same story. Like, either one independently conveys the same information, so in this case the graphics seem a lot weaker. Wonder if there's a better way to have them complement each other. There's a decent discussion of this in Understanding Comics chapter 6 (should be a PDF version out there) if you're interested.

saw this screenshot first and thought the game was some sort of interactive novel

RPG Maker 2000 Value! Is now out in English!

Huh. Well I definitely didn't expect that. Will have to pick this up, and I'll look forward to the event though, for once nobody will laugh at my rm2k skillz.

Going to miss PicPointerPatch and friends though.
