What are you thinking about? (game development edition)
Well the UK has a lot of different stereotypes, too.
I've thought about it for longer than I care to recall, and I've decided that I'm going to cease production of P:A in RPGmaker.
It just lags too badly, no matter what I do, I'm going to start using Game Maker Studio (which I legally own yee) and make it there.
This will yeah, delay it's release. But it'll be done properly. Proper controller support, a more valid quick select, mouse integration, high resolution support, I can make chase scenes more fair, this is before I even go into particles and all that.
Edit: After some discussion with my CCC fellows, we ultimately decided that Unity2D would be the wise choice.

Unrelated but here's a new track for the game by Jake "MoneyMenace" Gamelin. It will replace "Darkness of the Unknown" which is used in Esperia's fourth phase (Final Boss Fight)

@Corf: Lol, I couldn't tell if you were being snarky or legitimately wanted to calm me down but I worked out I was getting annoyed over pretty much nothing from the start. Don't worry about it mang.
I will still be going to a psychologist, talking to some friends about the whole debacle certainly helped but I do still plan to do that.

Okay. This will be my last post anywhere that isn't on the game discussion subforum.
This thread will be locked and I will not be posting anywhere nearby. It was a grave mistake entering into politics here, and I apologize for any feelings I may have hurt, and I can't promise I won't in the future, but what i can promise is that I won't post anything outside of game dev subforums, hell you guys will probably forget all this happened in a few months anyway.
Maybe I was desperate for attention, maybe I wanted you guys to think I'm cool and went the wrong way about doing that? Anycase, all I've left to do is be humble, accept like I have, but still do, that i was wrong, and finally do the only thing I know I can do, stay out of trouble zones where the ignorance of some will be impossible to ignore. As some wiseguy once said, there is no discussion, only gam mak, and discussion of gam mak therein (actually nobody said that I just made it up right now.)
But basically, I'm gonna post on the screenshot thread, whatchu workin on etc and forget all this ever happened, I'm hoping you'll do the same. Just, wow. Fuck this, whatever this shit is.

author=LibertyNhubi is Australian, so I figured that's where she got it from, though I actually didn't know that. I thought it took off in the states like Crocodile Dundee did.
Priscilla, Queen of the Desert isn't that well known since it's an Aussie movie, BM. Keep that in mind - while we all know it, not many outside our shores would. (Great movie~<3 )

Also watching Dundee instead of just judging it as how Americans see us, it's actually horrifyingly accurate in it's portrayal, not all of us are that excommunicated from mainland society but still.

I've been on several different camps during my life, and outside of the croc Wrestling, I can pretty much recount something happening on one of them that correlates to the movie.
The only really ridiculous thing was the kangaroo with the gun being held by the guy. Though it was funny enough to get a pass by pure essence of absurdity. And after a dingo ate the baby story nothing is too stupid for me.
She was proven innocent, but too little too late.
Now we're sort of forced to laugh it off so we don't have to face that we put someone in the slammer for 25 years for doing nothing.

I wouldn't envy the little lad, that's too much attention for anyone to get in a day. Now the whole country is going to be split among people who love him and people who hate him, and that's horrible. The last one, the map itself looks great, but it looks like it should be directly topdown, where as the sprite is side-on. Looks like he's just lying there.
The Cliff in the third one feels off, I think making it less saturdated and adding some lines where the cracks and vertical ridges would be could help out...
Unless it's a river, in which case the perspective of the roverbank completely defies the standing character. Also the streams being that size (no larger than the base of a potted plant) wouldn't need a bridge, and the player in such scenario is unreasonably small. As is the bench and fencework.
Also the bedsheets in the first one have their pattern cut off half way down, they also lose a pixel or so in size.
The fourth looks great.
The Stained glass on the second would look fine if the glass didn't go dark at the bottom-left corner for some reason, there should only be light that shines through.
Both the first and second have one issue, and it's that floors nor walls have any borders, which makes them bleed like crazy where the carpet and wall touch.
