@Liberty: Alright. It's not like the picture is offensive to me or anything, but I remember reading a post (I believe it was from you) regarding pornography in games hosted on this site, and the post suggested that nudity's absolutely fine as long as it doesn't cross the line into pornography. Obviously the line is subjective; I just thought you (or whoever linked this thread on the front page) just overlooked that picture. If it passed the test, then fine. Sorry about my earlier post; I could have been less crass.

Hey, I like your work--especially the pixel art. But, uh...the naked mouse girl is weird, right? Like, why is there a weird naked mouse girl on this page, and why does the front page link to a thread in which there is a weird naked mouse girl? It's like a ketchup stain on a fancy evening gown.

Hey, I tried playing through this and ran into the "I'll speak to no-one but Laine" "That would be me" glitch. I downloaded patch 2.0 and replaced the data folder, but the dialogue still stops there.

A Very Long Rope to the Top of the Sky
Hey, Kenlan, here's what you do:
There are four lights you can get in that area. The one to the left, you've gotten. The one to the right you have to catch multiple times; I'm not sure if you've gotten that one or not. You can get the one to the bottom by moving the small statue behind the larger one. The fourth light falls from the waterfall to the left of the entrance to that area. Once you finish that puzzle and proceed to the end of that dungeon, you'll be able to progress in the center area between the tower and the dungeon.

-Sully's in a house in Beriall Brymme (the fishing town north of Avishun city).
-The expert arena is unlocked after you beat A rank on all of the other arenas and make it to the last level.
-The gauntlet in the pig arena is unlocked similarly; you have to make it to the last level and beat A rank for every challenge.
-I wasn't too happy with that wolf section, either. Yvette's arena I liked in theory, but, yeah, it's too dependent on luck.

Also, (and this justifies a new comment imho) do you guys really need a contest to justify you making a new horror game? Can't you just... go and make a new horror game?
Hey, I like competing. I wouldn't tell kids not to play in competitive sports because they can just play in the backyard with their friends; there's value in the competition itself. Without that driving me, I feel more compelled to work on long term projects. Really, this competition looks like fun and I'm just cranky that I don't have the backlog to make something I believe in. It's cool, though; I just wanted to hiss for a second and slither back into my cave.

This won't really spawn games that has anything to do with Halloween. What I liked about the old events was that I could sit down and play some games that got me in the mood for Halloween.
This event's kind of cool in its own way, but, yeah, I pretty much agree; I was kind of hoping to make a new contest horror game this year. Too, I just haven't really been around long enough to have abandoned projects, and I don't really want to revisit stuff I'm finished with, so I don't have any material, anyway. Good luck to the entrants, though!
