LIBERTY'S PROFILE

I enjoy playing and creating games (mostly RPGs) and have a love of story and characterisation above graphics. I've been into RM* since '96 and have used all makers - started on the PSX makers, found and used a patched version of the SNES RM, then moved to RM95. When I found RM2K I finally decided to join some forums and I've been a part of the community ever since.

Take care of yourself.

Beloved Rapture

There's going to be a commercial version on steam. Yeah, no download.

Theia - The Crimson Eclipse

If you hit enter as soon as the cannon door opens it should see you good.

I will admit that there's no real room for error with a lot of the minigames, which isn't a good idea. You either skim by with a last slither of health or have to restart again and that's not great design. Even a bit more health given during those minigames which require timing could probably help a bit so that you have a fairer chance. For example, hiding from the sniper was extremely hard because as soon as you entered a new screen you were going to get hit no matter what. I think I avoided it once and that was the one time I managed to get through to the end of that section.

That said, it's not incredibly hard, but it IS still a bit too challenging especially for those who have slower reactions. Perhaps even a "skip minigame" after a certain amount of times choice would be a good idea (if you want to make it a detriment to use, give prizes for completing the minigame manually - as with the stealth sections - and if you have to resort to a skip, just remove those rewards. Easy way to promote people playing the minigames, but allow for people who can't do them to continue the story).

PS: if you send me your save file I'd be happy to do the minigame for you. Just host it in your locker (hover over name in black bar up top, go to locker, upload file, grab link and PM me that link.)

As an experienced player, I got it done on try three. It was a bit challenging but not that bad.

Toxic Remedy

Why are you talking to yourself? Maybe ask in the various review threads for such if you want it. Talk to people. Get on the discord and ask there if anyone would like to review or show them new stuff you're making. Get a facebook or twitter account and show it off there using appropriate tags to get peoples' interest. Make a video and show it off on youtube and other social media.

Quite frankly the game is old. It's most recent update to anything - screenshots, blogs, media, etc - is you complaining about no feedback or reviews. If you want people to play it, let them know it exists. Here's an article on player retention. You might find it gives you some ideas as to why no one is playing your game.

Like, seriously, you're expecting people to come to your gamepage years after release and play the game and give you feedback without even trying to give them a reason to. They can't find it magically. You get what work you put into shilling it, so shill it if you want to see more than just your depressing posts about how much you hate that no-one sees your masterpiece among all the other amazing masterpieces out there.
