X_ATM092.png

Hasn't X-ATM092 just appeared in JP version of Brave Exvius? Or has it appeared in the most recent global update? I don't follow the game anymore.

Does Cid wields a sword or a really big dagger?

P6 Blog #7 Field Abilities, your thoughts?

Like I told you on Steam, you could go with stuff-breaking for the Earth, but now that I think about it you could make it shoot stalagmites to act as barriers, like you could have places where water flows or something and integrating some kind of barrier erecting (and dispelling) could be an interesting take on the earth element. I'm not really digging that "dig-and-find-under-yourself-caves".

I think Tales of Zestiria have items for both enemy repeling and attracting items and a few characters have support talents to attract certain enemies, so I think you shouldn't probably worry that much about it.

Phantasia 6 patch

Actually,
after eavesdropping the coversation when I try to return to the corridor the way I came in Zack says "The should be just ahead." and he walks away so I'm stuck.

And now I moved a bit and a cutscene randomly appears. o_O Unless you forgot to make all the events in line to be "Touch" encounters...

Yes, we can chat on Steam. Feel free to PM me about that. ;)

Phantasia 6 patch

I'm under the impression you haven't play-tested the game much and went simply with creating the game.
So, I was able to obtain the key card and saw the conversation between Valerie and that electricity "enthusiast" and I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to interact with a machine in the room next to theirs but I can't.

Phantasia 6 Beta demo 0.4

I suggest putting an RTP-free version and maybe just altered files in a zipped folder as well since constantly downloading a ~407 MB demo is not a really good idea since some people will quickly run out of their MBs. Also, it's annoying to constantly to redownload a ~407 MB demo because of few fixes.

Aside of that, I love the music selection, although the title screen and world map music is an awful RTP that should be abandoned. If anything, I can try to find some decent royalty-free tracks for at least one of these if you have problems doing so.

Erm... I can't find the key card. Unless it's located in that room with three beds in the left I can't access it since there's no passability set behind bed tops. I don't even think you can alternate the "hologates" all the time in that top-most room: once you alternate it, you can't set it back.

A good (maybe, I don't know, your call) idea would be to place a symbol on a tile to highlight that you can Wind Step on it. Maybe make it a green, winged shoe that faces the direction the ability will take you.

Another suggestion would be to add arrows or something to indicate a transition tile between maps since sometimes I don't know where I can go and where I can't since in dungeons enemies like to group-attack me.

And maybe if you could add some kind of map name indicator in the menu + current objective on a key press like in Tales of games would be cool.

Also, I tried resting at the inn in Gale way-back-when, but the walking issue of Zack's hasn't been resolved.

Phantasia 6 Beta demo 0.4

I think Silva's wind element in the Gem Desert is somewhere before the "labyrinth" part since
I've already been captured and haven't really payed much attention to exploration (these enemies are extremely persistent in catching you).

Also, how do I proceed further in that fortress? I already re-recruited girls and I discovered a terminal which requires a key card. I think that the key card is needed to advance the story but so far I wasn't very lucky in finding it and honestly fighting the enemies there is starting to be annoying.

"Wind Step" LOL You weren't kidding when you said you got some inspiration from Zestiria. ;P Although I would recommend maybe assigning an unused key for "elemental powers to be used in the field" if it is going to be a more recurring element, yet that would probably bring a problem where you could access things that shouldn't be really accessible. Also, when "winding out" you could also put on some animation on Zack; it looks kinda weird that there is only "winding in" animation when he "teleports".

P6 Blog #5 The demo is here

Well, I might confuse the word "Phantasia" with a variation of its spelling from some other game, but I assure you it is not confused by me with "Tales of Phantasia".

Phantasia 6 is my first game TBH, but I enjoy nonetheless.
You draw very nicely from the Tales of series; actually, it's pretty rare to see a game paying a tribute to that series since Final Fantasy series is the more popular one.

P6 Blog #5 The demo is here

Probably a stupid question, but I don't really know, but is the Phantasia series your own series? Because I'm lost. I thought it was made by some big company or something?

P6 Blog #5 The demo is here

Not posting on the download page since it's not related to any bugs or anything of that sort:
Well, I am at the point that I recruited Fran and got Element Fusion things and I can't help but notice similarities to one of a more recently released games (less than two years): Tales of Zestiria. I don't know if you played it but I'll try to avoid spoilers for it in case you might play it.
1. The main character is a blade-wielding history nerd. Well, Zack is not on the same nerd level as Sorey IMO, plus Zack uses katanas while Sorey uses ritual swords.
2. Four big elements that has a playable character in the party: Yumi - Mikleo (water, also first elemental party members and use similar weapons: Yumi uses spears and Mikleo uses staffs), Silva - Dezel (wind, also both utilize daggers but in Dezel's case it's a bit different), Fran - Lailah (fire), plus the inevitable earth-oriented character whom I'm yet to recruit so nothing on them from me for now.
3. Fusing with your elemental allies, although I think you take a better approach on that. Zestiria's fusion system is an overpowered mess. And well, when Zack fuses with others his appearance doesn't change so a difference. ;)
4. Overlimit system (although Zestiria doesn't have it, Overlimit is a recurring gameplay element in the series).
5. Collecting element incarnates/spiritual powers to save the world (there's some degree of overlap, but your take is really good).
6. That hooded person working with Alexander: their outfit resembles the outfit of one of the guild members from Zestiria quite much.

I realize that since Phantasia series is a jRPG series, like the Tales of series, there will be overlaps over some aspects, but honestly IMO I think I like your game a bit more than Zestiria.

Also, I like your writing on Silva: he's got a bit of a perv vibe around him, but you can sense he is not all about that, especially with him giving nicknames to others (which reminds of a certain someone from Zestiria but that is stepping into a big spoiler territory ;P ).
