I'm at the very beginning of the game, on the Prelude.

Their short comment about it looking good but being overwhelming is concise, innocent feedback. Seems like you're taking pot shots at this comment for not sharing your opinion.
I'd take art that's ""hard to look at"" (it's not) over the homogenous consumer-diluted crap we get from triple A titles 95% of the time.
Backhanded comments aren't constructive or innocent. "Great art except its hard to look at" doesn't tell anyone anything and leaves nothing actionable.
I'm taking pot shots for the comment being worthless, actually! Last I checked 'hard to look at' tells everyone a whole lot of nothing at all. Which screen? Why? The pixels? The contrast? The linework? The content? Black and white pixel art is a specific style used by multiple artists, so its worthless without being a specific direction.
Dethmetal in fact has followed up with a comment that does have actual constructive methods suggested instead of being inane.
Infection has 4600 makerscore, I'm sure he can muster something more than hard to look at.

Great art, but it's one of those things where it's hard to look at.
Art doesn't have to be easy to look at. They're going for a specific style, which they have achieved. This is such a back handed way to post a comment on a project, especially when there's nothing technically wrong with the work, you just think its hard to digest and decided everyone else needed to know.

Honestly, I didn't expect this update to actually happen. Awesome that it did.
I'm also very surprised, but certainly glad its done. The item window fix alone was worth it.

Please redownload it in about 10-15 minutes. I was in a rush to update a game-breaking bug last night and misplaced the starting position, but I've uploaded the fix now.

Ok well that's bizarre. You've accessed the World Map already by this point.
Could you please check Map001.rxdata is still in the Data folder?
If it is, could you please grab Map162.rxdata and send it to me (upload to your locker here or upload it to something like dropbox, mediafire, etc) and I'll have a look at the event.
This doesn't appear to be a universal bug though, so I'm not entirely sure what's occurred.
If it comes down to it, the last recommendation I have is to move your save data out of the folder, delete and re-extract/install the game, then put your saves back.
EDIT: Actually could you please send me your save file as well so I can check the switch situation?

Unable to find Data/Map000.rxdata keeps popping up when I try to go to the 4th key
Could you please add a screenshot of where you're trying to enter?
Data/Map000 only occurs if the map data is missing, so I need to check if you're using a valid entrance or if I've missed something (very possible). Otherwise there's a possibility the game did not extract correctly. Double check Data/Map029.rxdata exists.
Actually could you please send me your save file as well?
I think a switch may have flipped somehow that shouldn't have.

You need to kill the enemies in coloured pairs, otherwise they'll regenerate.

Hey, this looks great, but as a general FYI - there is no shame in WIPs. You don't need to put a 'don't judge me' on your screenshots - be proud of your hard work. Every pixel laid is a pixel toward a completed project. You've got a very interesting looking project on your hands, endeavor to be passionate about it regardless of other's judgement.
