New discord + new game

Notes From Province has, especially, very good use of the RTP with the mapping. I really like the atmosphere for the game too. Played some of it, but not all of it, at least yet. Really good and clever ideas with how you went about it.

Good luck with what you do next! : )

Thanks so much boos405! :D I always love hearing you share your experiences playing my games! ^_^ Really appreciate it a lot!

I thought your mapping here was amazing, and the scenery near the start looks so beautiful, as well as the inside of the building. It was really cool that you were able to do it so fast for a game jam, at the time, as well.

Ill Will

I always loved how they did the glowing effects in this game.

Hiya boos405 and aww thanks so much for sharing your positive experiences with the game! ^_^ <3 Im happy you enjoyed the game! :D And yeah, you do get it indeed! :D The game can indeed be quite intimidating if the player haven't fully understood how each skills work on the overall. :D

Hi Starmage, yeah I actually left out some context. I saw a post on the rpgmakerweb forums where someone said they thought the battles were hard, so I suppose I was saying my input, that for me that they were fine, and I believe that would be the case for others as well, but I can understand a little why it can be harder for some people.

I think it's just about reading skills carefully and knowing what you can do and who to target, as it was challenging but easy enough for me. Item can also be important to manage and think about.

I have some ideas on what could fix that, but this is just a possible idea, I'm not saying to implement it, and for a game jam, it makes sense you did it with a single difficulty. My ideas would be a difficulty mode, with this being the "normal" mode and an "easier / easy" mode, without necessarily adding in a "hard" mode. Not sure if this is something you want to go back to anyway, but no harm in sharing an idea that came to my mind, in case it can still be of help for anything.

Thanks for the short but fun game! I enjoyed your short story a lot. :)

Yeah, I remember playing this one, this was one was excellent and really well executed.

Esper Unleashed

I played through this a while ago, really fun! I didn't struggle with either the bosses or the enemies, for me, I think the balance is fine as it is, but I can understand how some other people might find it harder.

It's probably because it's more complex. I.e. Reading and understanding the skills is a bit more complex, and using certain skill combinations is a much easier way to win, so knowing to do that can be important, and using the items can help a lot too. As well as picking up the stat boosts? Or it was something like that?

Saying that the number of skills is pretty simple, and for me, I had no issues with these things.

I enjoyed the story, main character, mapping and gameplay. A nice short game! :) I think it's really good for a game jam entry.

Really nice to look at, I like everything about it.

A small update of sorts

Good to hear things are getting better! Best of luck with your RPG Maker endeavours and hopefully you are able to consistently work on your project, I still need to give that feedback on Chained Worlds I promised back in 2017 some day ^_^;

Hi Ozzy, nice to hear from you! Yes, thanks! I've actually had a huge break and focused on some other things, but I have just started getting back into RPG Maker again recently, so we'll see what I do next.

Are you using RPG Maker at all at the moment?

Haha, yeah, don't worry about that feedback. I got some helpful feedback in a private message around the time. I mean you can if you really want, but that's up to you!

Do you have a copy of the game though? I've lost mine, my copy can't be play-tested at the moment, as I added other scripts and stuff, so if you do, that'd be great. I don't need it, but I'd like it if I can.

Hope things go well for you, and good luck with where you take RPG Maker next, for you! :)

I really like the mapping. It looks really good for a peaceful type of themed town.
