Nessy Art Practice

Wow really impressive stuff!
I like your palettes, anatomy looks great and it looks like you're really comfortable with style! You got a tumblr account or something? I want to follow you! (:

Pizza, I love the lighthouse and the effect looks great. in a still screenshot it looks a bit too clean compared to pixelated look of everything else, but animated, it's awesome! I'm getting zelda vibes from the mood and attention to detail for some reason.

charblar, I feel like I haven't seen mac n blue in a while. I got a warm feeling inside seeing your screenshot. I agree that the building/ruins looks off. I doesn't have the same contrast between it's lighter and darker shades of color as the rest of the tileset. It's not a super big issue, but just something..

pizza, that's awesome. I already noticed your duck character on another page of this topic and it immediatly caught my attention! I love the house and those trees are exceptionally cool. That sand/road-whatever could use one more colour or shading though.

Sweetmeltylove, the icons make sense once you know what they're supposed to represent but I would have never guessed some of those; namely funny and crush. Menu itself looks great and even the icons are fine if they're explained somewhere in the game.

sgtMettool, everything looks cool, Boxies are really iconic already :3. in your tileset I wish those boxes would be more stackable and together if you can understand what I'm saying. I just don't like the empty space around them.

ramshackin, yea you pretty much nailed the look as far as that tileset goes. Hard to say any criticism or anything lol. I really enjoy barren cliffs like that so it makes me happy to see them in rpg maker format, Icelandic cliffs are really cool too.

Resonate ~call out my angel~

oh my, this looks so pretty!

hooded characters and pink, eh?

SgtMettool, you screenie reminds me of some old SNES game, but I can't quite remember what.. I like the palette :D

Biz, that's an intensive trailer man. It's certainly 'something else'. I have to say that some of those picture animations looked impressive like that spaceship catching fire and crashlanding

Yea lol. If you see me acting stupid like that, please do tell. I have an ability to miss things that should be completely obvious to normal human eye.

Anyways supersonicsoda, i just started following you on tumblr (: you got really consistent style. I'm always envious to people like that :D

Ah i see. I just figured since most of those pictures didn't have a background, nevermind then :P i just liked your bath scene, so I'd like to see more work like that

I understand the stress of an active webcomic, it's surprisingly lot of work even if you do it halfassed(like I do)

Do you have a tumblr account or something where I could follow you?

Edit: nevermind about the background thing really! I somehow missed your comic pages entirely -_-" looks really cool

I like these (: you seem to have clear idea what your style is, that's great. Also colour useage is good! There were few stand out works imo: the pink haired punk robot girl and I also really liked that purple haired woman sitting in bath with some black stuff showed on her cleavage.

As for tips to make your stuff even better: your character poses and perspective angles are pretty basic. Experiment more and make bolder choices to spice up your work! Also I'm guessing you mostly draw characters, not so much backgrounds? I know tons of people like that, cuz let's face it, drawing backgrounds just isn't that exciting. But then again, to differentiate yourself from those tons of people it's good thing to concentrare on backgrounds too!

Encounter System: Touch Encounters

Sounds good to me. Persona 4 has similar system, but you can also get an advantage/disadvantage depending on if the enemy sprite attacks you from behind or if you manage to land a hit on it.

It's cool, although in Persona 4 it annoys me that the system doesn't feel consistent.

I'm also planning something like this for my current project and I'm also thinking about some long-range attacks/laying traps before the actual battle to get advantages.
