OUTCRY312'S PROFILE

I'm 22 years old, just graduated college for Game Design. I focus on narrative design in my games, and hope to begin making games within my own universe!

I prefer RPG's out of all the genres, but love exploration and puzzle games.

Hehehe~

I've just gotten past the tutorial (took me a stupidly long time to figure out I had to examine the clue while the signal was on, silly me) and it's definitely intriguing so far! My only suggestion for any final fixes to your game is to find a good proofreader, seeing as how text/story is really important here. There are a few places that could use polishing up (with added commas/apostrophes etc.) but nothing dealbreaking.

This is really cool how you can go out and see all the different things going on in one scene, damn. Great work!

Alright, some proofreading necessary throughout the intro especially, thanks. Is it just punctuation stuff, or are there any awkward phrases or anything?

Congratulations on completing your game! Can't wait to try it =D

Thank you! Have fun. It was pretty puzzling for my testers, apparently! Deducing where to go and when was fun for them. Of course running around aimlessly can win you the game too eventually but that's no fun :P

2014 Indie Game Maker Contest

http://rpgmaker.net/games/6402/

My game is complete and ready for other people's eyes! I'm ready. Scared but ready. Bring on the criticism!

Perspective: Extended Edition

I just worked for about five hours straight working on the conclusion, and I can say this: I'm preparing the download now! With all the work I've put into this narrative, it's time to bring this game out into the public and get some feedback. We've done our testing, and I think it's ready! Expect it soon, as I'm just fixing a cut-off or two before releasing!

Painted Heart

This game makes me feel unworthy O_O. And I believe the art style would contribute to the presentation part of the game anyway, it's not just narrative it's how well your game is presented which includes plenty of aspects of design.

Perspective Download Coming Soon

I'm back to work on the conclusion, expect the download sometime today. Sorry if anybody missed the fact I was taking a quick break to sleep :p. I was getting tired and like I've told Seiromem, I get sloppy as it's getting late. Explains why I forgot to leave a comment rather then just making a status(thanks Liberty :p)

I don't want to edit the blog or anything, but It's taking me a bit longer then expected. I'm getting sloppy, it's late. I'll finish it and upload tomorrow!

Comments work. You can't be sure your subscribers will see your Status since it's only available on certain pages (community being the most-likely one) but leaving a comment will alert them via their Notices, so they'll know that you wrote something and be able to see what. ;p

Yeah, good point. I edited the blog anyway, never thought of a comment :p

Progress So Far Update 4 (CLOSE TO DONE PROBABLY!!)

Quick Update
Rather then post another blog, just a quick update. Today I got about 75% percent of the stage done so far and once I'm done I'll be working on a new idea for my collectible system. Instead of a "Mystery Room" acting as a hub letting you choose each stage, the map the memory takes place in will act as the hub, but it's empty of NPC's. You'll find the collectibles here instead rather then have them in the stages influencing the player's path. You'll also be interacting with this map which is different from the stages since I only allow spectating in the stages. But my friend said some interaction would be cool and I felt I wouldn't just force that in. So now that I'm upgrading the hub set-up it will allow for more exploration and interaction, finding key points on the map that trigger the reveal of each stage of the memory, and the collectibles.

That leaves me to decide whether I can have it so Amelia will accompany the patient to the location it takes place in in reality. I could have a system where bringing him to a certain spot will trigger something or unlock something in his memory, or going into his memory and then triggering him to do something in reality. As long as all the stages are done, the rest of the things I need to work on will be easier to get through and work on. It's less complicated to set up this upgraded hub and collectible system or make the conclusion. So the game is still close to done, definitely.

Yes, I put it in the description at the very top!
'right, just wanted to know. Because there might be some other contests out there, you know.

Correct, but that's the only name I honestly know this contest as hah. But yes, clarification always helps!
