Never feed a gam after midnight

It'll just ask for more in the morning, right? Can't spoil the gam.

I cut out 95% of the story, leaving only the culmination, how about that.

Cut out all the story. There is only gam. The purest form of gam mak.

Without storyline my game would be uh... nothing. Not even a game, really :P. A gam is a gam is a gam is a... gam(Spoken like my favorite Scott Pilgrim character). But if gam is story, then gam without story is no gam. Understand?

GAH! I made my game to big for it own good!
I only have 2 testers and the games not even done yet, and they play games SO SLOW!
...I didn't plan this out very well
You can cut stuff out, then. Get to it!
Yeah, we had to cut a dungeon out of ours to meet the time restrictions. If cutting stuff really bothers you, just keep in mind that you can make a new build where you put back all the stuff you cut after the contest is over :D

That's what I plan on doing. I had five total levels planned. A tutorial, three main ones, and a final level. I ended up cutting it down to a tutorial and one main level. And hey! I made the hour mark with time to spare to touch it up. And soon I'll start the extended edition where I'll include all those levels. I guess the biggest challenge of cutting it down is the conclusion. Leaving room for later additions, but at the same time concluding enough so this small game itself feels complete.

I am having the worst 2 weeks ever.

SWTOR is the best single-player MMO on the market. I never have to interact with anyone unless I want to.

I had been playing that game religiously until the IGMC popped up. Wasted half a month of my subscription when I ditched game playing for the contest. It is my favorite MMO though, seeing as how each class has their own campaign basically. Terrible timing, that subscription :/. And my best friend got into it as I was stopping. I was getting really into it, but wanted those social points. Was looking for someone to tag along with me. Curse you IGMC!!!

But yeah, sorry about all the trouble. I'm happy I still don't drive, although I'm going to be pressured into it soon. Once I'm out of college I'm in for a real treat without a fricking driver's license.

Not that we don't already have enough comments about this but one more point I wish to make is: My computer thought Skype was a threat. This kind of thing happens a lot.

It wouldn't let me run it, so all I had to do was exclude it from the block. I have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

On another note, I'm totally starting the intro work I've been meaning to do now. I took a break yesterday, played some Sly Cooper 2 and Starbound(got invaded by penguins with army hats dropping from an alien saucer and lost and therefore took a break from that too). So yeah, I got a proofreader, I'm just going to simplify what needs simplifying first. I'm also thinking to add some more conversations during the level. There are moments when a group of people would go from one destination to another not talking, and while I meant for that(focusing on when they HAVE to talk), it couldn't hurt to add a little something while they're walking I think. If I have time!

What should go in a character focused game

I'd look into Bioware games, especially Mass Effect, for this. Character relationships are so important and I find that game a good inspiration. Then there are the TellTale games. They are my favorite studio now and the experiences I've had with characters from a couple of their series have been the best I've ever had. Clementine is a great example. She's older and different now in Season 2 then she was in season 1. And seeing that transformation has been intriguing.

My examples are more towards the storytelling rather then mechanics and systems in a game though.

Downloaded it, my computer won't let me open it cause it thinks it's a threat.

It shouldn't be a threat. Hasn't been for anyone else. You can override it in whatever program you're using for security. There's usually an ignore option.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

Playing the Sly Cooper series, Super Mario RPG, and the web game Mardek(one of my favorite RPG series of all time) with my younger siblings!

Tirawrmisu

I didn't quite see the pun in the title till I googled Tirawrmisu, confused of why they wanted me to spell it tiramisu. What a "ohhh, I get it now" moment :p. Sounds like fun, these types of games have always interested me. Can't wait to play!

Quick Bug Report:
My friend discovered that during the conclusion, one of the doors accidently brings you back into the memory hub. You'd have to start the conclusion over again. Specifically the southwestern room does this. There will be a fix for that in my next version for sure! So basically, don't use that door. My friend's game time was about two hours.
