AVEE'S PROFILE

I started to design games at age 5, drawing maps and sprites with felt pens and paper. Then I began writing stories and game scenarios. I've been working with Rpg Maker 2000 and 2003 mostly, as soon as they came out.
I favor RPGs, Action RPGs and Fighting games. My favorite styles are Fantasy, Horror and anything dark or gothic. I also appreciate cute and funny content.

I make a lot of pixel art and some digital art (concept, promo, fanart, etc.)
I also compose 8-bit music.

Don't be shy and send me a message if you want to commission my work ;)

Misae is interested in both genders. Players have hints about it in the later parts of the available demo.

The RPG Music Challenge - Phase 1 Results!

So many people voted for Entry 11 already. I guess the winner won't be a surprise.

What are you thinking about right now?

My mistake. Yet I maintain my position.

The Screenshot Topic Returns

Overlaying numbers and gauges are hard to read for me. I'd rather lower HP and AP numbers' font size and make it so they don't overlay.

That mad dog battler isn't in the RTPs... Where did you get it?

Soliciting Feedback:

The lack of skillset is only an "issue" for the first 15-30 minutes anyway, and time passes quickly when playing Necropolis. I prefer the quick sense of progression provided by early level ups, and being able to select my built right from the start. So I'd vote for keeping Marcus' Level at 1.

I also agree with Craze that healing items useable in combat will lower strategy quality, and I think that the game is easy enough already provided that you make clever use of equipment and states (honestly, I don't understand why some people find this game hard). And the lack of item use and regen cloaks contribute to Necropolis' uniqueness.

The in-battle finisher reference and spell damage sound like nice additions.

VX Ace: Skill that ignores enemy evasion?

Thanks for all the help, guys. I think I'll go with the script even though the other option is quite simple (I can't believe I didn't figure it out on my own :P)
I'm slowly getting into understanding scripts now.

The RPG Music Challenge - Phase 1 Results!

To me:
Lava = High-strung or stifling feeling.
Temple = Oppressive or solemn feeling.

My Vote: Entry 13.
It's actually the most melodic, memorable and well-written song. Composer experience exudes from it. Stifling and solemn feelings are perfectly delivered. I have a hunch about who made it :)

Runner-up: Entry 27. A great ancient-temple-built-inside-volcano dungeon song for a NES-styled platformer. The instruments and partitions fit very well together and I can hear the composer's experience. It gets the high-strung, oppressive and solemn feelings fine but I would have liked more bass.

Special mention to Entry 17 for making my ears bleed. The main instrument's high pitched notes are really annoying.

Special mention to Entry 23 for being what I would have least expected from a Lava Temple-themed song, while still being a pretty good track.

VX Ace: Skill that ignores enemy evasion?

Maybe it could be possible by fiddling with the battle management scripts, like adding a check for the said skill?
Anyone knowledgeable enough to help me here?
