I started to design games at age 5, drawing maps and sprites with felt pens and paper. Then I began writing stories and game scenarios. I've been working with Rpg Maker 2000 and 2003 mostly, as soon as they came out.
I favor RPGs, Action RPGs and Fighting games. My favorite styles are Fantasy, Horror and anything dark or gothic. I also appreciate cute and funny content.
I make a lot of pixel art and some digital art (concept, promo, fanart, etc.)
I also compose 8-bit music.

I believe these two games nailed it like no other in terms of mastering their own style and originality, and perfecting their mechanics. I also have a thing for the Norse mythology and the Dark & Sexy themes, I must say.

The points I understood and that seemed more important to me were:
1) experiencing something physically (with your senses) fosters wider and more accurate self-understanding and feedback than mental stimuli alone.
2) there will never be one "perfect" thing that pleases everybody, therefore there has to be several types of that same thing to maximize satisfaction.
3) sadly, a lot of people believe anything advertising throws out at them. Even if they don't need or won't really like this new product, they will buy it if they are convinced it is "better" than the previous product they were using.
Game design-wise, keep experimenting and innovating in terms of gameplay mechanics and narratives, promote your work and listen to people's feedback.
If you want to widen your audience, develop different games instead of trying to improve a single game over and over again.

How To Use Switches And Variables in RM2K3
The distinction is well explained but doesn't the article limits variables to their "switch substitute" function? So much more can be done with them and I think it would be important to mention all of their possible functions to this article's target audience.
Also, using several switches for the same object might make eventcoding easier in certain situations, when having CBS sprites act for instance.

@Ness: I like this too but the eastern wall being 2 tiles wide and 2 tiles deep would mean there's empty space at the right of the stairs, if you know what I mean.
