AVEE'S PROFILE
Avee
5794
I started to design games at age 5, drawing maps and sprites with felt pens and paper. Then I began writing stories and game scenarios. I've been working with Rpg Maker 2000 and 2003 mostly, as soon as they came out.
I favor RPGs, Action RPGs and Fighting games. My favorite styles are Fantasy, Horror and anything dark or gothic. I also appreciate cute and funny content.
I make a lot of pixel art and some digital art (concept, promo, fanart, etc.)
I also compose 8-bit music.
Don't be shy and send me a message if you want to commission my work ;)

13 ghosts = one grate game idea.
The Ars Goetia has already been used in Shadow Hearts: Covenant as a Materia-like magic and grid system, but I suppose that an RPG where the main quest is to beat all the 72 demons could go somewhere...
I've seen the 13 Ghosts movie remake and some scenes of the 1960 movie. A survival horror game based on these would be perfect. The fact that the player knows right at the beginning that there are 13 murderous spirits to defeat/escape from would be very appealing, I believe. You'd always be eager to meet the next one and see what trials you'd have to overcome in order to survive the encounter.
As for Scooby-Poo, I dunno.

Finished Makai Toushi SaGa on Wonderswan Color. (Final Fantasy Legend)
Now I remembered why that game pissed me off so much. Stupid cheap enemies.
They made a remake? How neat!
I just saw an impressive speedrun of the original GB title where the player relies solely on monsters and eating the right meats.
Boss Battle Design Contest - Knowledge is Power
Well, will you guys let your work go to waste? I think you'll get 10 makerscore for submitting anything so I believe it's better if you participate anyway.
Heartache 101 ~Sour into Sweet~
I wouldn't want people to cheat either, or simply follow a walkthrough the first time around instead of playing the game for real. Flowerthief's hint about city events was enough for me to start unlocking endings; so far I unlocked 3 in a single game, and there are still 20 days or so left.
Interesting fact: It's funny how I unlock a girl's ending and then start avoiding her all the time when we meet at school so I can avoid the nuisance of her becoming lovesick, because the phone upgrade is expensive and 3 or 4 girls are close to being lovesick at the same time. I dunno how serious it is to let a girl go over her Heartache gauge, but I don't want to hear that horrible "you screwed up" sound again :P
I found a glitch on the board, I don't know if it's been reported already: If I use Free Move right after lending on an Item panel, the Item Message shows up again. But that's not all. If I then use the Free Move to go to a "higher" or "lower" row of panels and stay there, my character will keep moving forward through the background (where there are no panels) until I lend on a purple arrow to put me back on the main middle row.
Thinking back at my first post, I think that Shihoko's story and behavior is more typical of Japanese Anime characters, while Keika seems more occidental, clinging onto her "boyfriend" like that. In any case I think it's interesting to have that mix of both cultures, like you said.

RMN Triple Triad League
Does it really play like the original?
If so I'll be in as soon as I can get the latest flash upgrade (I'm using a shared computer right now)

I see. I guess I didn't notice the full importance of these "chance meetings" in the city. Now I'll know. Thanks!

Free Action Burst Battle System (FAB/BS Discussion)
The system seems fun and quite original, but the "content" is still overused (buffing, elementals...) Why not try to change these too?
Synergy could come in the form of special outcomes or more powerful/useful battle effects, when two or more characters link/combine specific actions or target the same foe.
For instance, the Brawler uses Slam Dunk to knock an enemy down on the ground, and the Thief's Steal success rate triples if he uses it right after the enemy's been hit.
Or more or less like in Chrono Trigger, linking two specific attack skills either combines to create a single more powerful attack or creates an extra third attack or status ailment.
