AVEE'S PROFILE

I started to design games at age 5, drawing maps and sprites with felt pens and paper. Then I began writing stories and game scenarios. I've been working with Rpg Maker 2000 and 2003 mostly, as soon as they came out.
I favor RPGs, Action RPGs and Fighting games. My favorite styles are Fantasy, Horror and anything dark or gothic. I also appreciate cute and funny content.

I make a lot of pixel art and some digital art (concept, promo, fanart, etc.)
I also compose 8-bit music.

Don't be shy and send me a message if you want to commission my work ;)

A Golden Week of RPG Maker 2003

@CashmereCat
I requested help with the writing since the game will feature a lot of randomly chosen lines. There's still room for new helpers if anyone is interested :)

Let's Play: Halloween Wars

Just finished watching all 3 videos. I'm sorry you had such a terrible time. Humanity deserves my apologies for this game, seriously.

The story is, I didn't have time to really test the gameplay on paper before making the game for the Halloween event. By the time the deadline was passed, I just wanted to finish making the game as fast as possible and didn't bother fixing all the horrible design decisions.
Easy mode makes the game more bearable with clear and shorter patterns but it still isn't a decent gaming experience due to all the randomness, tediousness and frustration.

I like the suggestions you made, about showing percentages or at least better hints about the attack patterns. A big part of the frustration also comes from high enemy strength and the win-or-fail outcome of every move, I'd think.

Thanks again for caring enough to make those Let's Plays!

EDIT: If anything, this game is a good lesson in how not to implement similar gameplay ideas :P

Let's Play: Halloween Wars

I'll have to take some time to sit and watch those, but thanks!
I'm actually amazed someone bothered to play and record this awful game :P

Have you tried Easy Mode? The enemy patterns are fixed and a lot easier to learn on that mode. Exp and Score gains are increased as well and enemies have slightly lower stats (it makes the game kinda playable).

[Writer] Looking to help on a project

Hello and welcome!
Maybe you could help me out with the current game making event, "A Golden Week of RPG Maker 2003".

I need writers who can come up with several short lines: replies to simple questions (4 questions total) about a specific theme (like an interview. I'll say more if you send me a private message).

These lines have to be comedic. Funny.
Use any flavor you want: absurd, awkward, edgy, witty, exaggeration, sarcastic, even meme-related is fine.
You can also write a line with a fictional stereotypical character in mind. For instance, what would a psychopath or pothead say to question X.
Taking lines from tv shows or comedians would be totally fine, but original ones are preferred.
Characters can be male or female.

I just need a large amount of lines, at least 30 per question but ideally over 50. Any help will be accepted and I'll select the best lines to implement into the game (all helpers will be credited).

Please PM me if you're interested and I'll tell you exactly what the game is about and what the 4 questions are.
We have until May 11th to submit the game so I'd need those lines in the next few days if you're willing to help.
