Does Anyone Remember GamingW? (Remembering Gamingw)
I still want to play Monopolo very much. I've never been able to find it anywhere, and I missed out on it when it was actually released. I remember the screenshots Silver4Donuts would post in the screenshot threads on GamingW and all the controversy surrounding the game. I recall people constantly claiming that Silver4Donut's screenshots were not real and were simply mockups. One post in particular claimed that he could tell they were fake, and offered a nonsensical explanation about how RPG Maker processes colors in a certain way or something.
Fear and Hunger
Congratulations on the release and on featured game status! Just purchased over on Itch.io. I am greatly looking forward to playing this and I have been for a long time!

Momeka, I am absolutely in love with that aesthetic. The color palette, spritework, tiles and menu design looks incredible. I commend you.

Touch Encounters and EXP
For Exile's Journey, I assumed that players would fight each enemy once. However, this didn't exactly work, because most players actually fight far more enemies than I expected, and end up leveled higher than intended, which in turn makes the game easier than I planned for.
One trick I used (which I got from Demon Legacy) is to have unavoidable encounters every now and then. For example, and enemy that chases you very quickly and is impossible to run from, or an enemy that stands in a hallway and engages in a battle with you when you approach. However, these types of encounters are pretty rare in my game.

First off, I'm really enjoying the game so far! I'm currently doing the first side quest and I can't seem to find the Bone Shield anywhere. Also, the vampires seem super tough even with garlic and ice armor.. any suggestions?
Glad you're enjoying it! You can purchase the Bone Shield in Colhaven. It becomes purchasable there after you complete the second dungeon, which you have done.
As for the side quest, my best suggestion is to complete one of the main dungeons and come back. It should be much easier then. The best dungeon to complete first is the one located on the northern tip of the eastern island.

I finally finished FF3 last week (in one marathon session - took me 30 minutes to work out where I was). I don't recommend it.
Really? Which version? I played the Famicom version and I absolutely loved it. I thought it was easily the best 8 bit FF. It was also the most challenging FF I've played - the final boss was certainly no pushover. That's pretty insane that you beat it one session, though.

What's the drop rate for the Goblin Sword at the beginning of the game? I can't seem to get one.
10%. I wouldn't sweat it too much if you can't get it. It's mildly useful for the first dungeon, but that's about it. It's real value comes from selling it.
Thank you for the kind words, everybody. :)

I am currently playing through Final Fantasy 9 for the first time. I'm on Disc 3. I've been making my way through every FF in order. I've beaten:
FF1 (NES)
FF2 (Famicom translation)
FF3 (Famicom translation)
FF4 (SNES)
FF5 (SNES translation)
FF6 (SNES)
FF7 (PS1)
FFT (PS1)
FF8 (PS4)
I had already beaten FF6 and FF7 when I began this journey, but I played through them again anyway. I also completed FF13 a few years ago, and beat FF7R last month.
