A Collection of Firsts

I WISH, WISH, WISH I still had my earliest games.

I love those trees!

Moonsong: First Verse

Looks awesome! This game has that classic RM2K3 feel that just screams "play me!"

How do you stop going back??

I really had to just tell myself to stop. I remade about half of Exile's Journey's dungeons prior to it coming out. While I don't regret doing so because I think it improved the game, I would probably still be remaking things in the game had I not drawn the line.

There's one dungeon in particular in that game currently that I hate, but it's an optional dungeon so it wasn't worth pushing the game back further. I'm glad I forced myself to stop remaking things so that I could get the game out and work on my next thing.

One thing to keep in mind is that your current game doesn't have to be your last. Release your completed game, and if there's something you wish you changed, then use what you learned to ensure that your next project is even better.

Craze, I'm already planning on shelling out more money than I can ever possibly make back on character portraits and monster graphics, so for tilesets I'm going to go with a mixture of custom, premade and edited tiles! Although, yeah, your aesthetic there is pretty close to what I had in mind originally (although more GBC or NES inspired than classic GB). Are those graphics yours? They look great along with the mapping!

Markus, it's absurd that someone would ever object to have MORE frames of animation than they asked for. Animating sprites, at least to me, is the hardest part...

I'll be spriting a lot for my current game. There are basically 16 characters to choose from (eight races and two genders). I've already created each of them. However, I'm also planning to make it so that your armor choices show in game, so I've also been hard at work creating each armor piece.

When I first started the game I'm working on now, I wanted to make it in an 8-bit/NES style and do all the graphics myself. This was way harder than I thought and I gave up. However, I do like limiting myself to a certain color palette. Just not THAT limited.

Fear & Hunger 2: Termina

I'm excited to give this a try and let you know my thoughts!

Exile's Journey

Awesome! I hope you enjoy!

You guys ok with the Corona Virus/covid19?

The movie theater is getting kind of desperate for movies over here because Hollywood isn't releasing very much right now. They have started to play old movies, such as Ghost, Pan's Labyrinth, and currently playing Ready Player One.

I actually love it when theaters play old movies, because I would never have a chance to watch them in that kind of setting otherwise. I'm still pretty hyped that the theater in my college town randomly decided to play The Shining one time.

The next demo of Termina is very close and I'm working on the little stuff that's been left unfinished and geeeeee.... Just how many days can I sink in the little stuff? I thought I'd be done in a couple of afternoons, but I've been working a couple of weeks non-stop lol.

Don't underestimate the little stuff! I find that doing little stuff is what makes time fly by. Sometimes I'll open up the editor just to work on a few maps and make some small adjustments, and before I know it, 5 hours have passed.
