I can't lie, luiishu. Your color palette is burning my retinas.
Those screenshots quite literally hurt to look at. I understand what you're trying to do, but those colors need to be toned down a lot. Otherwise I think it looks good, but for me personally, your game is unplayable with that current color palette.

Hobby to Profession, Looking for success stories
I made a topic about RPG Maker games who later went on to develop games professionally; it's sort of relevant so check it out.

Does anyone remember GamingGroundZero? (Remembering GamingGroundZero)
I remember trying to sign up for their forums circa 2003 and being disallowed because I had an AOL e-mail. I registered a Yahoo e-mail instead and still was denied entry so I gave up trying (probably for the best because I was probably about 11 years old at the time). I always wondered what their forums were like, though, so this thread is very interesting to read. I knew that they were a bit secretive and their forums were exclusive, but I had no idea the site's members were as crazy as your guys are describing.
The games on the site ranged from pretty good to downright bad. I remember one of them (Seekers of the Sun maybe?) had the walk speed set to the slowest possible option on the world map which is a baffling gameplay decision.
rmdatabase.net is the forum I recall most fondly, but although it was quite active, most of its users have seemingly vanished from the internet.

Romance In Your Game (Valentine's Day)
A major theme of my game is unspoken love and how it can spring up unexpectedly through comradery. No, there's no cheesy section of my game where the main characters burst out with a "...I LOVE YOU, MAN!" and talk about their broship. I think that most of us have felt a special bond with a friend that didn't need to be put into words because it was so inherently implied, right? Well, that's the kind of feeling I want to get across by the end of my game.
Another theme is that of hopeless romance. Sometimes, circumstance prevent lovers from getting together. Love is often ill fated.
The Way and A Blurred Line both handled romance rather well.

I think the contrast edit that Kaempfer did actually improves those tiles a lot. For whatever reason, I find them otherwise difficult on the eyes. Your map itself is great, though! I like the varied heights of the cliff tiles.
I decided to remake one of my early maps. Here's the result (the very top and bottom is cut off):
And for those interested, here's a comparison of the old map with the new one:
I'm very happy with my new one, but I kind of miss the dreariness of the old map. I probably just have an unreasonable attachment to that bland map since it's been in my game for so long, though.

Hey, I appreciate your feedback! Just because this isn't the screenshot thread doesn't mean I don't appreciate it. These maps won't be completed until the day the game comes out (and even then, I'll probably be tempted to fix some things and release updates).
I'll definitely consider creating some broken headstones. I think that would help get the "abandoned cemetery" feeling across. I may put shadows underneath the headstones, as well. I think that will help rid away the illusion that they are floating.
