Is @YanflySucks a troll?

I had no idea all this had happened to Yanfly! That fucking sucks!

Quite liked a lot of his articles.

For reference, a user once stole maps and graphics from a game of mine and Liberty was a class act handling that. After confirming it, the user was banned. As it should be when people behave like that.

Pom Gets Wi-Fi

Hmmm, funny, I don't think I've ever heard of this game before.

Drat! Does the title screen count!? :P

As mentioned in the Blog:

"The maps look very straight and unnatural, but this was a conscious decision due to the quick nature of the game and how fast the player will need to traverse them without getting stuck on anything.
I even made it so that you continue moving if you hit a corner of a wall, much like in Phantasy Star 4."

Despite that, I still think it has a certain charm to it and looks good to me (mainly because of the shadows).

Damage Number Philosophy

This was rather interesting. I don't think I've ever seen anyone discuss the Damage Number pop-ups in RPGs.

Aesthetics and how it feels is all very important for the game, but I think that the most important aspect is still "easy readability" regardless of what style you use.

Graphics can add a lot of flavor to a game, but they should never impact negatively on gameplay.

I also prefer a single number instead of several, since it's easier to take the information in and gauge how strong it was. Multi strike attacks with several Damage Number pop-ups tend to seem weaker even when they are not.

About what happened in the "About what happened in the "2021 MISAOS - THOUGHTS, IDEAS, PLANS" thread" thread

Just noticed this topic now. I am slow.

If anybody has let the site down in the past 7 years it has been me. I haven't devoted the requisite time to maintaining and improving the site.

What about everything you've done before those 7 years? Doesn't that count for nothing!?

Looking around the web, it's frankly pretty amazing that RMN is still here! That alone is an achievement, and everyone who made that a reality should feel proud of it.

DEMINUTE 15

It's still gonna take quite a while though!

Release Maker Birthday~

That's really cool of you, Marrend.

I don't know about you, but I'm gonna release a demo for someone else's game! (gets to hacking)

LMAO! Nice catch! But writing a blog for someone else's game may be easier :P

In other news, I finally released my demo!
I hope I managed to iron out all the bugs and didn't forget any files...

Are gamepage descriptions edited by the staff?

Just a final update for people who may be reading this thread.

I exchanged some PM's with Liberty and all is fine! You can check Liberty's post above.

I think it's reasonable and a win-win situation. Gamepages get accepted earlier and any additional text issues (should there be any) can be sorted out later.

Cool beans.
