AVEE'S PROFILE

I started to design games at age 5, drawing maps and sprites with felt pens and paper. Then I began writing stories and game scenarios. I've been working with Rpg Maker 2000 and 2003 mostly, as soon as they came out.
I favor RPGs, Action RPGs and Fighting games. My favorite styles are Fantasy, Horror and anything dark or gothic. I also appreciate cute and funny content.
I make a lot of pixel art and some digital art (concept, promo, fanart, etc.)
I also compose 8-bit music.
Don't be shy and send me a message if you want to commission my work ;)

Cuties & Clues Review
"Frogge is sus"
Thank you for the detailed review!
Many ideas had to be left out in order to release the game within the deadline.
All that being said, there is definitely room for improvement.
You think so? I'd like to get more feedback from the community about a potential remake.
A few people have said that an improved and expanded version would be worth going commercial but I'm on the fence about that.
Thank you for the detailed review!
author=BeregonYou're the first person to mention lag during the character selection screen. I'm afraid that I can't find the cause. It might have to do with some of the constantly running Parallel Process events but there was no lag on my end... That bug will remain a mystery.
Just pressing a key to browse between possible characters lagged a lot and could even seemingly freeze the game for a time
author=BeregonBlue attacks may make the target skip a turn, which is indeed a very useful effect. The blue item Bike Helmet is also the most useful defensive item. I do believe that I made blue overpowered.
using a wrench or Bodibuldoses's attack with a chance to stun worked really well
author=BeregonI wanted traps to also use the color system to deal more damage to certain characters, but I didn't have time to implement it.
the traps seem too weak and with barely any impact on the game.

An expanded version of this game could really be something special that would have the potential to become a classic.

Cuties & Clues
You also heard the happy music that is exclusive to that ending. I'm glad that you enjoyed the game :)
Mirra and the Crimson Catastrophe!
Cuties more bugs fixed, definitive download?
I wonder how often did players use the defensive items?
When I playtested, to attack seemed to be the optimal choice in most situations... Having access to all 6 colored attacks by collecting at least 5 weapons ensures that you'll deal the maximum amount of damage to any enemy.

I like that idea about the second tower. It would add some variety to the gameplay and keep things fresh.
I'll be keeping a close eye on the development :)

Mirra and the Crimson Catastrophe!
I played the demo :) Here are my thoughts:
Presentation: 4.5/5
That’s a lovely art style with lots of character. And I can tell that the excellent cutscene images have required a lot of work. The visuals are definitely the highlight of the game and you’ve done very well here! The only thing I would suggest to improve is to add some more tiles of texture here and there like small plants and rocks.
The music contributes to the whimsical atmosphere and is very well used to create a feeling of unrest when I approach the boss.
I also like how you’ve added moving objects and bugs to make the environments more dynamic.
Gameplay: 2/5
The first thing I noticed is that the white damage numbers are sometimes hard to see.
There didn’t seem to be any point in fighting enemies since they don’t drop experience or loot. I couldn’t spend money on upgrades either. And the teaser is very short. I would have needed a little more in terms of story and meaningful battles to be hooked.
That being said, I’m really curious as to how the plot will unfold after the boss.
Overall: 6.5/10
In one word: Pretty!

I finished playing the event demo :)
Story and Presentation: 5/5
Excellent art direction, using everything that the engine offers to add tension and emotion to the cutscenes. I love the details in the shrine like the flashing shadows and the rats. The overall presentation is quite inspirational.
The plot is simple and effective. I was really invested into it thanks to the scenes sticking to what’s important. It didn’t take long for me to root for the charismatic protagonists and I cared about what would happen after every scene.
Gameplay: 4/5
The battles and character customization are right up my alley, as expected. Good job on creating lots of strategic fights using a limited number of enemies and gear/skills.
The weapon equipping skills are a clever addition.
I enjoyed the traps and puzzles as well.
I know this is only a demo but I felt that it was a little too linear. Maybe you could let players complete the next dungeons’ rooms in a less linear order. I would have also appreciated if there were one or two secrets to find that rewarded me with better equipment or something.
This demo felt short and I look forward to playing the next part.
Overall: 9/10
In one word: Awesome!
And here’s a passability issue that I found on the corners of railings:
