AVEE'S PROFILE
Avee
5794
I started to design games at age 5, drawing maps and sprites with felt pens and paper. Then I began writing stories and game scenarios. I've been working with Rpg Maker 2000 and 2003 mostly, as soon as they came out.
I favor RPGs, Action RPGs and Fighting games. My favorite styles are Fantasy, Horror and anything dark or gothic. I also appreciate cute and funny content.
I make a lot of pixel art and some digital art (concept, promo, fanart, etc.)
I also compose 8-bit music.
Don't be shy and send me a message if you want to commission my work ;)

Guess that game!
Call to arms! For we are legion.
I had a draft about how to write usefulness-oriented reviews for both players and developers. Give me a few hours to revise it and I'll post it as an article.
I probably won't take more part than that in the "quest" though ^^

Guess that game!
Here's a new one:
"This sunglasses-wearing hero claws his way through dirt and defeats an opponent by sticking a giant spike up his butt"

Game Idea Concept: Can This Be Done?
The idea is fun. From the player's viewpoint it adds another layer of complexity. They'll have to plan how many monsters they want to kill and manage the item drop in an innovative way. Actually I think I might use that sometime, if you don't mind. It really is an interesting idea.
To eventcode it I'd suggest setting a variable for every monster. When you defeat a Bunny, his variable increases by one. So the more you kill, the higher the variable's value will be.
And when you use an item that reduces the spawn rate, you lower that variable by a certain amount.
After that you make a database event that ensures that the variable will never fall below zero and never rise over, say, ten. Make that event a parallel process or call it everytime you defeat a monster (calling it is better to avoid lag).
Then make the respawning event. Use as many pages as you have values for one variable. For instance, our Bunny's variable goes from 0 to 10, so that makes 11 possible values and therefore 11 pages within the respawning event.
Set each variable's value as the precondition and code your spawning, whether it is for a random encounter battle system or an enemies-are-visible-on-the-map system (I suppose it is the latter). And when you code the spawning, lower the chances of a Bunny appearing as its variable's value is rising (use another variable that sets a random chance for the Bunny to appear).
So when Bunny's variable is 0, there is a high chance of Bunny appearing. And when it's 10, set it so no more bunnies will appear.
I suppose that would work. If you can't get it done I could do it for you (but you try to do it first)

Looking for Trees.
He's looking for high-angle forest shots, with the camera under the foliage I believe.
I tried googling that but nothing good comes up. Good luck.
EDIT: Try deviantart

What other genres/games do you like/play that AREN'T RPGs?
I love well-designed Action Platforming games, such as the excellent Strider 2 for PSX and the older Castlevania and Megaman games. And I enjoy Beat-em-ups that have a lot of depth like D&D Tower of Doom and Shadow over Mystara.
I take the best pleasure in games that give me realistic control of my characters and that test my reaction time, quick analysis of and response to different situations, etc. and that's why I enjoy Fighting games so much... Well-designed ones, that is. Like Street Fighter Alpha 3, Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers 3) and the newer Dead or Alive games. I did years of martial arts so that too might fuel the interest.
Although I love horror themes, I don't get into horror games as much as in other games. I just don't like the usual "fetch quest" mechanic.
I don't get into any First Person Perspective game. The lack of a realistic sight window kills the immersion and the feeling of being in control for me.
I usually don't enjoy Sports games either. To me it feels to damn repetitive and boring. I love to play sports for real though.
