What did you make when the site was down?
The beta testing of my game is underway, so I spent my time making fixes that I've been alerted of.
I also used Internet Explorer to browse the site, because it was the only browser that would let me. ;-)

Joseph, I actually do kind of a prefer those colors. It's possible I might release a future update using those. Only problem is, to create a consistent theme in the game, I used the blue for a bunch of custom menus and stuff so it will be a bit more work than it seems to change, but doable.

This is my least favorite map that still remains in the game, but I really had to draw the line when it comes to remaking stuff over and over. It does look a bit better in-game, though, because you don't see the repeating cliff tiles as much.

This looks really good! Getting some heavy Farron Keep vibes from this shot
Heh heh... Yeah, this area is actually very inspired by Farron Keep.
What are you thinking about? (game development edition)
Do you guys think that choice of Maker can influence how popular a game has the potential to be? For example, if I made a game in RPG Maker XP, do you think it would be less popular than if I made it in RPG Maker MV?
Best softwares for composing music

If you want to do any mixing at all I highly suggest using a proper DAW, since Audacity is mostly just a track-editing tool. I recommend Reaper, which is basically free (it technically isn't, but it works kinda like WinRAR where you can keep using the "trial" forever without paying for the license). It also has a decent MIDI tool, though I'm not sure if it's as beginner-friendly as LMMS.
I agree with this, and while I love Reaper, it's worth noting that it doesn't come with any midi patches by default. It only comes with a very basic synthesizer. So if you need string sounds, flutes, etc, then you will also need to acquire a .vst. Luckily, if you search "free midi vst", there are tons of them.

If anyone's curious, a user named Fleshwit did a Let's Play of all six episodes on SomethingAwful.
It's really informative and shows off a lot of things that I never knew even existed. Also goes into some theories about the ending, which is always interesting to read.
This was so interesting. It brought back a lot of memories and I learned a lot about the game. When he talked about the part in the Episode 1 cave where you have to walk around in complete darkness that Lun removed in later versions... Wow, I actually remember playing that! Also, how did this guy even find all these secrets?!
Grimm's Hollow
Update - October 2019
Awesome trailer! Loved the music. Making a trailer for a jRPG style game can be tricky, but you managed to pull it off.
[Any Engine] What's your build/playtest loop like for you, mentally?
All of the above. Sometimes I'll create an entire dungeon and not test it until it's finished. Other times, as other users have mentioned above, I'll test every little thing (especially if I'm working on a custom menu or puzzle).
I find that it's better to test entire dungeons at once, because if I create and test/play-through the dungeon piece by piece, it's hard to see if the dungeon actually flows well, which is important to me.
I also do complete playthroughs of my game constantly. This is where I tend to find the most bugs. In these playthroughs, I usually save, close out and fix each bug I find before I continue playing.
