Hi all !
I like 16-bits RPGs (especially action RPGs) where you feel the quest behind the lines of code. I also like strategy, puzzle solving, immersive stories, tabletop RPG and LARP.
I'm a hobbyist C programmer who likes to work on custom game mechanics. My very first project was a very basic map generator for Genesia, aka Ultimate Domain https://rpgmaker.net/users/Irog/locker/UltimateDomainWorld.zip
I also want to help developers polishing their projects with my player feedback. So I'll be happy to test your game !
See you around,
Irog

Just Do It! - Anti-Procrastination Initiative
I'm done with the second goal of this first week!
The player can customize the control keys and now also save games. Maps and saves share the new common format. The map editor was also improved: you can specify which player starts. Previously, it was always starting with Player1.
Here is the game download https://rpgmaker.net/games/8267/downloads/
For next week, I originally planned 2 goals:
3. Develop a charge attack
4. Adapt AI to properly use the charge attack
As this first week's apparently easy tasks generated a lot sub-tasks, I'll focus next week only on developing a charge attack to ensure I cover all its aspects. By the end next week, the player will have an unfair advantage over the AI but who hates that?

Just Do It! - Anti-Procrastination Initiative
Time to report:
Goal 1. Done !
The player can configure control keys within the game. Those settings are saved and reloaded next time. The file "Help.txt" also gets updated with the selected keys names.
Goal 2. Not started.
Develop a save game function…
So I achieved 50% of my first week goal so far.
You can check my progress here

I'm in !
There are a lot of ideas I have lying around for MinST. And I should really work on them.
1. Implement customizable key configuration
2. Develop a save game function based on the save map function
3. Develop charge attack
4. Adapt AI to properly use charge attack
5. Make a generic range attack function for ranges above 2
6. Adapt AI to properly use attacks of ranges above 2
7. Increase archer range to 2-4 and add the bill-men unit (draw new sprite) with range 2
8. Add other new units
9. Adapt interface to scroll the map and make some larger-than-screen maps
10. Make the game play music and find copyright free music that matches with the game
My goal: complete at least 2 tasks of the list each week.
