Release!
Oh cool! A sudden release for this game was not something I expected from 2020, but it's a welcome surprise!
Toothy and the Fantastic Sandwich Review
author=IvanezRusauthor=FroggeYeah, probably adding some more stuff as well as some hints on previous one could be a good thing. I intended to have more battles, like in a typical JRPG. In fact, you can look in Monster folder and you will find that the final boss wasn't the only enemy intended.
If the game does get expanded to have more content, I'd love to give it another go as I said.
Oh yeah, I actually checked the folder before playing to see if there would be any battles. Almost mentioned that in the review, but I didn't really find a good place to fit it in.
author=IvanezRusauthor=FroggeAw, man, you make me blush. Am I really that good? :3
In the end though I just look forward to whatever you do next :D
Yeah man, this is a lot of fun, it definitely has me interested to see whatever you might cook up in the future!
Saga Crew and the Spire of Mana
Toothy and the Fantastic Sandwich Review
It's actually really cool that the game was inspired by childhood drawings! And bitsy games too, kind of ashamed that I did not think of that at all. If the game does get expanded to have more content, I'd love to give it another go as I said. For music there's no shame in using free stuff, people generally won't complain and it's better than radio silence. In the end though I just look forward to whatever you do next :D
Moonsong: First Verse
Been playing this and encountered a few bugs. Didn't take note of most since they were pretty minor (mostly passability bugs, and I think I broke sequence in the city with the postman sidequest by interacting with the alchemist before getting his package? When I went back to the post office the game said I delivered his package and got attacked but I didn't) but I did just encounter a game breaking bug I figured you might want to know about - in the Marahas where you're supposed to meet up with Giovanni in the south docks, if you talk to the guy in the blue outfit so that he moves out of the way, but then go outside rather than go down the stairs, when you go back in he will be in the hallway and you won't be able to progress because you can't pass through. Figured you might want to know about it.

I hope you took Leonov with you! ^_^
I mostly play for hard hitting classes, so I knew immediately that I had to take him with me! That's also the reason I picked Magnus at the start, of course :D
Moonsong: First Verse Review
Nice review as always man. You beat me to the punch, I think I'm around the midpoint right now, haha.

Again, I am very lucky with these page breaks ;;
Here's the pictures from the last page that I've accidentally page break'd

Recently finished the HUD. Next up is enemy graphics. I'm kinda ok with how my testmap currently looks. What do you think?
author=KaempferA cozy little town in Moonsong, which is now fully playable.

Here's a little video I recorded for a little more immersiveness.
Gameplay is a little rough around the edges, but I'm still working on it.
author=KoopaKushI've been bouncing back and forth about the idea of giving bosses their name plate and health bar, and I'm thinking of keeping it somewhat like this. Feels like it adds more flair to the bosses and it'll help keep track of what environmental damage or weapons are the most effective to use.
EDIT: I'm also not done editing the boss sprite just yet!

@Frogge
Every one of those screenshots is amazing. Especially the gold mine. The scene is so well framed and visually interesting.
Thank you! The gold mine is actually my least favorite among the bunch, so it's nice to hear that it still looks nice.

@Frogge:
That looks very cool. What time period is it set in?
I'm thinking of a fictionalized time period, mostly because I don't wanna bother trying to be completely time accurate. I've mostly been looking to the early 1900s for reference, though.
Moonsong looks excellent, by the way, really excited to play the full release!

Are the RTP tilesets final? The HUD itself looks okay, it's just the perspective on the tileset that makes me iffy.

I've been tinkering around with the last map I posted here.
I've completely moved on from using the RM2K3 in-engine chipset builder and graduated to using panoramas, pictures, and charsets for mapping.
This is REALLY cool. Very impressive for 2k3!

Looks super nice just like everything else I've seen from the game so far! The statue to the side is probably my favorite little touch.
