If you submit, do you have to submit a whole game, or is there a way to just include the map file?
Also, does that photo rule only apply to countries with serious Covid cases or lockdowns, because I live in Taiwan. I just ate at a restaurant today with about 100 people in there, drove down a bunch of crowded city streets and took the local train, which was quite crowded.
Include the full game please, not just the map file!
Also yeah, avoid using photos from close proximity to where you live regardless because even if covid is not an issue for you, we don't want anyone accidentally doxxing themselves.

Can we map in Tiled and provide a bare-bones engine to move a character around the map?
The judges could evaluate the map but apply the 10 points playability penalty for non-RM engine.
Nope! Tiled is not allowed and rpg maker only, sadly. That will likely get the map straight up disqualified rather than docked points.

Oh right I did those haha. I barely remembered that but good for those who put effort into them.
I didn't realize you posted on this thread literally just recently and now I feel like an idiot for thinking you hadn't been around a while haha
Anyway yeah, those were super cool! I remember playing them back when the game pages were up and really being wowed by some of the entries.

So I managed to find Tau's old mapping contest compilations on wayback machine. Unfortunately the downloads on the page don't seem to work but I have them on my computer and could easily upload them to dropbox if necessary. Thought they might be a good addition to this thread :D

Easiest fix is to just got into the system tab in the database, and change the 'Boat', 'Ship', and 'Airship' graphics to any random charaset.
I think RPGmaker tries to load them whenever the program is started, so if they're still set to the default RTP charasets, it'll crash the program, even if no vehicles actually appear on any of the maps.
Done! New version should hopefully have that fixed now, thanks for letting me know how to fix it!

Woa, you really nailed the low palette 90s pc look, holyshit.
Great Work!
Thank you! That's exactly the look I was going for!

Hello Frogge. Nice experience, atmosphere and messages. Congrats.
p.s.: Vehicle file is missing. I copied a character file from the char folder, renamed it to Vehicle and it worked.
Thanks for the kind words, and ahh, darn it, that's probably an RTP thing. Thanks for letting me know, I'll fix it tonight!
