2023 MISAO NOMINATION MONTHLY DATA

Report! Enemy solders appeared from the mist! February numbers are in! This month, we saw 13 nominations. Which is certainly better than 2021, but not as good as 2020. I wonder if the lack of event during February had an effect? Also, how will March play out this year? Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z the 2023 Misao nomination monthly data thread!

April numbers are now included! This month, our nomination count goes up by 5 to a total of 19! The amount of increase is similar to 2022's and the same as 2021's. Total overall nominations is higher than it was at this point in 2022, but, still way lower than 2021's value.

May was certainly a slow month for nominations in 2022, having maybe an average amount in 2021? We'll see how things go down (or up!) from here.

June numbers are up! The total nomination count rises to 32 this month, a gain of 10 over last month. Comparing to 2022, it beats the over all number, but the number of nominations for the month is the same. Comparing to 2021, the overall value is way less, but, the number of nominations for the month is greater.

July looks like it could be another slow month, looking at the numbers. The number of nominations in the month was only one in 2022, and 10 in 2021. We'll see if that trend holds true this year as well!

August numbers are up! The nomination count goes up by 8, granting us a grand total of 40! That amount of increase is less than it was in both 2022 and 2011, so, one can expect the total number as of the month to be lower as well.

September was a huge month for nominations in 2022, being the second highest nomination count for that year. In 2021, it was in third place. I'm not exactly sure what the number will actually look like this year, but, given what data we have, we should generally expect a higher number of nominations this month. The numbers have been generally lower this year, so, maybe somewhere around 20 nominations. Maybe as high as 30? We'll see!

October numbers are up! This month, we saw 19 nominations, making are grand total this year up to 66! This makes it the highest nomination count this year so far.

However, November was the second highest month for nominations back in 2021, and in third place for nominations in 2022. Given the numbers so far this year, it wouldn't necessarily take much for November to retain it's relative position this year, but, I suppose only time will tell for sure. However, things are getting a little down to the wire, here. This is the time. Don't walk. Run to the Misaos!

Well, folks, this is it. This is the Misao nomination period for 2023. Or close enough to it. The total count for this year is 186, a gain of 74 nominations over last month.

December continues to be the primary month where nominations happen. As for the grand total, in comparison to 2022, the value is a little over 60% of it's value. With 2021, it's less than 45% of it's value.

While we might not have hard data from previous years, theses numbers indicate that are the the numbers/interaction with the Misaos are trending downwards. Perhaps there are still aftereffects from Covid-19, or maybe users are just more focused on the gammak part of the site, rather than playing the games that are submitted here. I doubt we have the resources to conduct a proper study of this, or if the data for future years will show the trend to continue. What I can say is a hearty thank you to those who have participated in the Misaos on behalf of the staff, and to thank the wonderful minds that have given us the gift of their games this year!

*Edit: The nominations are still open? At least for now. I don't know when they will close for real, but, the nomination count stands at 249! I will not update this thread further in regards to this, but, I'll have a link to the topic concerning the results of the voting when that is ready!
